“Mummy, daddy, can I go and get an ice cream with Dara? Please??” Bom asked sweetly, swaying her mum’s arm slightly.

“Ok sure darling. Take care of your sister!” Bom’s mum answered, her hair gently while Bom’s dad laughed and pass her some money to buy ice cream.

Bom held little Dara’s hand and skipped happily to the nearby ice cream shop, unaware that it will be the last time seeing her parents.

In the orphanage…

Bom woke up screaming. It is that dream again, the nightmare that she can never forget.

Her dad was lying on the ground, his neck broken at an awkward angle, his eyes wide open, but empty. Her mum was lying beside him, a tall man holding on to her and drinking blood from her neck.

The man looked up and stared at Bom. He was very handsome, so handsome that it is unnatural, with pale grey eyes, porcelain skin and blood red lips, lips covered with her mother’s blood.

Bom stared in shock as her ice cream dropped to the ground, she pulled Dara’s hand and ran, screaming in horror. She could hear the man following them, his footsteps light but urgent, like a predator hunting down its prey.

The man grabbed Dara’s arm and pulled, forcing Bom to let go of Dara. Bom screamed again and kept running, too afraid to look back. She heard the sound of sharp teeth biting into flesh, and her sister’s scream. She ran and ran until her legs could carry her no further. Nobody is following her, only then did she broke down and sobbed, crying for her lost family.

She must grow stronger.. One day, she will hunt down the man, or that creature, who murdered her family…
