"Jinhee-yah!" I heard Eunmi call for me the next morning in the hallway. I turned to her and gave the biggest smile I could muster- which wasn't big at all.

"Hey," I greeted her, but I frowned when I saw her concerned look, "What's wrong?"   "Jinhee, please don't take this the wrong way, but you remember how I said I didn't want to know how you knew V? Well, I take that back. I want to know," she said.   I shook my head, "What are you talking about?"    She sighed before pulling me into an emptier hallway, "Look, last night I got a chain mail and I almost deleted it because those are usually full of crap- usually. But.. Ugh, just see for yourself," she huffed and pulled her phone out of her bag and showed me a mass text:   From: Rumor Princess <3 <3   You guys won't believe it! I was in Jeju this weekend and I swear I saw our prince V with the Ice Queen! I took a pic, but it's kinda blurry   Attachments: icey_v.jpg   I stared at the screen, trembling as I opened up the attachment with a shaky hand. Theyhad evidence!? The sender was right, it was very blurry, but I recognized the outfits Taehyung and I wore the day before our wedding. I could make out a chandelier from the lobby of our hotel and thought back to the girl I thought might have been from our school.   No way. I was right. We got spotted. .   "I- I don't, I mean, I don't know what this is," I choked out, not daring to look in her eyes.   "Now I'm no detective," Eunmi began, "but I know when someone is lying to me- especially you, Jinhee." I looked up and faced her, but I looked around and saw the gazes of other students reach mine as they passed by. They mostly frowned and the ones who were walking with others whispered to one another. I looked back at Eunmi and gulped.   She noticed my hesitation and rolled her eyes at the kids giving us weird looks. "Hey! Her parents just died, give the girl some space, would you?" She yelled, shooing them away. I trembled some more as she looked back at me.   "They're not gonna bother you for now, so spill so I can spread some other stuff and bury this alive. I don't like it when my best friend is infamous, and that's been happening a lot lately," she pouted.   I nodded my head, but my phone buzzed right as I was going to open my mouth. I opened the text and my eyes grew round.   From: Kim Taehyung   Don't say anything. Leave it to me.   I gulped. If I had seen it, then he obviously had, too.   "Eunmi," I whispered, "Would you believe me if I said I couldn't tell you?"    She knit her brows, "Are you kidding me? Yah! Who was that! What did that text say?" She yelled, grabbing for my phone. I held it out of her reach and tried to reason with her.   I closed my eyes, "Eunmi, please. I promise I'll tell you someday. I promise, just... Not right now, okay?"    She scanned my face, looking for any reason not believe me, but she didn't find one. She sighed in defeat, "Fine, but you have to promise me. I don't like keeping secrets between us," she said and held out her pinkie. I smiled, reaching my own pinkie out to lock onto hers.   "I promise."   ~   By lunch time Eunmi had gotten word of Taehyung's way of "taking care of it."   "Jinhee-yah! Look!" She came bursting into the library with full force. The librarian gave her a sharp look and hushed her, "Eh, sorry," she ducked her head before power walking over to me and Nayoung.   She shoved her phone under my nose and I looked at the screen warily.   From: Fwd: Fwd: Hwang Nana   It's impossible that V was in Jeju this weekend! He was partying with us downtown Saturday night!   I blinked in astonishment. No he wasn't? He was getting married... To me. How could he have been partying in Seoul?   "I don't know how this happened, but I want to know whatever strings you pulled," she put the phone back in her bag and sat down, holding my hands on the table, "But first... I have to make sure... Are you being blackmailed?" She asked seriously.   I laughed and shook my head, "No, no, of course not. It's nothing like that," I said, turning back to my lunch. Suddenly my phone buzzed.   From: Kim Taehyung   I took care of it. Don't you dare tell anyone the truth.   Ughhhhhh   I shrugged and figured I'd ask him how he did it later.   "Who keeps texting you?" She nudged me and made grabby hands toward my phone.    "Ah! No one, no one!" I squealed, trying to get my phone, but it was too late, "Give it back, Eunmi! I said I would tell you later! We promised!"   But her eyes had already grown huge.   .   "You... This is... W-Why do you have V's number? Why is he texting you?" She stuttered, staring at the text. I grabbed my phone out of her hands and quickly put my phone away.   "Forget you saw that, Eunmi.
