Yugyeom didn't really go to underground rap clubs, it's not that he disliked that genre of music, he actually did enjoy hip hop, but house and EDM just always seemed more his style. But because one of their older foreign friends Jackson invited them one Friday night, here he was being dragged by Bambam. Honestly Bambam is constantly stringing along Yugyeom in his crazy antics due to his insecurities about his cute baby looks. But it was okay with Yugyeom who enjoyed his adventures with the smaller boy.

The so called club was really just an old building on the outskirts of town that some older graduate from their university had converted into a popular club. It made Yugyeom uneasy,  "Are you sure about this Bambam?  This place seems kinda sketchy, " he asked as they first approached the building.

"Yeah this is the address hyung gave me, " but his voice seemed unsure and his eyes looked around the dark street before they entered into the lobby.

"Hey guys you made it! Good you actually came a little early, the rappers aren't going to perform until a little later but you can hang around and I'll introduce you to some people, come on," Jackson said excitedly.  Bambam quickly sidled up next to him,  Jackson wrapping an arm around his neck and giving him a noogie.

"Hyuuung stop it," Bambam whined as he squirmed,  "what if someone sees."

"Pfft hahaha, what you wanna meet some girls tonight my Baby Bambam?" Jackson teased as he led them through a door with a sign that said 'EMPLOYEES ONLY' in faded red letters.

"Maybe," Bambam said almost challenging as he puffed his chest out,  a second past and he quickly turned to Jackson suddenly unsure, "wait is Mark hyung here? "

"Yep."

Bambam quickly deflated and Jackson patted his back only half sympathetic as he repeated "Yep and unless you've got guns like these you won't stand a chance tonight," their friend flexed his arms for what was surely at least the millionth time in his life.

Yugyeom was only half paying attention, instead focusing on the spacious area tinted red by large light stands with red lenses on the far end of the room that provided only dim colored lighting. On the far wall there was a platform with a black background, two large speakers and a table with dj equipment that was the stage. Along the walls were small round tables with a few stools and to Yugyeom’s right was a small bar with numerous colorful bottles lining the top of the counter.

When they arrived, the club was already bustling as musicians were sound testing their equipment and the bartender was cleaning the glasses. What ended up catching Yugyeom’s attention however was when he heard beautiful singing soon after their arrival.

“Wow.”

“Oh, that’s Jimin, she’s your age. Both she and Yerinnie sing before the rappers start. They’re both really good, ah, if only she weren’t as annoying as you two,” Jackson joked as he made a mock disappointed face.

Yugyeom started at the small cute redheaded girl singing on stage with a strong smooth voice as she performed a cover of A Goose’s Dream.

“Well, come on. You guys can meet Rapmonster and Ravi hyung before they perform,” Jackson led them to a table where three guys sat, two of them looked to Yugyeom like rappers, one with blonde hair and the other with a beanie covering his head while the third man was really handsome with dimples that brightened his face.

“Guys, these are the two kids I talked to you about Bambam and Yugyeom. Children meet Rapmonster, Ravi hyung and Hongbin hyung,” Jackson said as he pointed to the blonde man, the man with the beanie and the handsome man respectively.

“Hello,” the two chorused as they bowed to their older sunbaes.

“Oh, are they freshman at the university?” Hongbin asked.

“Oh, yeah. Bambam’s and I are both roommates studying dance and Bambam met Jackson hyung in an English class last semester.” Yugyeom faintly registered in the back of his mind that the small girl -Jimin had started her second song, the club filling up more as more early guests began to enter, most likely regulars who enjoyed the early stages Yugyeom thought.

One thing he liked about being with Bambam and Jackson was that they were hilarious together and with the addition of Ravi, Hongbin and Rapmonster he found that the group became really funny as well as loud. He found himself mostly listening to them, while simultaneously moving some part of his body to the beat of the tunes Jimin was singing, to the point that there was some disappointment after Jimin finished her last song and was thanking the crowd.

As, Yugyeom took his eyes off the stage, he looked at his companions to see that Jackson was already demanding that all their tablemates touch his thighs and buttocks to ‘confirm his rock-hard body.’.

“Jackson, everyone who’s met you already knows about your fencing and your thighs, stop harassing people,” Mark approached the table with a suspiciously bright red mark on his neck as he tried smoothing down his now messy hair. A waitress followed him with a tray full of clear liquid in small shot glasses.

“You should talk about harassment, your existence is a danger to women Mark.”

“Oh so you don’t want a shot then Jackson,”

“Wait, it was a compliment,” Jackson quickly downed a shot and proceeded to commence an embarrassing series of aegyo to Mark who started to laugh hysterically.

Bambam and the rest of their tablemates each showed varying degrees of disgust however, with Bambam shouting his typical reaction of “Eww!”

Yugyeom was oblivious to the traumatizing aegyo as he was enraptured by the tall pale girl singing a cover of Whitney Houston’s “Run to You” on stage. Her voice was different from Jimin’s, a bit rougher but full of emotion and soul that seemed perfect for R&B. What was her name again? Yubin? Yeon-

“Oh, I came in time to see Yerin sing. Wow, seems like she’s gets better everytime,” Jinyoung said as he walked next to Mark, slinging an arm around his shoulder.

Yerin, that seemed to match with the girl on the stage who seemed quieter and more subdued than Jimin who seemed to be radiating a more energetic stage. But Yugyeom liked Yerin’s singing better, or maybe it was the girl, Yugyeom couldn’t take his eyes off of her, so beautiful with a beautiful voice to match that wasn’t lacking in either confidence or strength.

“If you’re going to try convincing her to set up a date for you with Suji-ssi again you can forget it, she’s not going to do it,” Rapmonster interjected.

Just as Jinyoung was going to complain, Jackson interrupted, “By the way we’ve never seen this Suzy person who you guys are always talking about. Come on we wanna see how hot she really is, right Mark?”

Mark nodded, “That’s the girl that JB called a goddess right?” at Jackson’s nod, Mark added, “yeah come on Jinyoung.”

“Ask Yerin yourself, she is her sister. If anything it’s surprising you haven’t already met her here before.” Jinyoung stopped as he seemed to scrutinize Mark, “but hyung I doubt even you could win her over, she’s nice but so many guys are already trying to date her… it took Jongin one whole year before he finally convinced her to go out with him back in high school and her last boyfriend Kim Soohyun apparently used to even chase the buses she was on before she accepted him.”

“Aish Jinyoung, just because girls like me doesn’t mean I’m interested in all the girls in the world. I have control over myself too, you should be more concerned about the Wang over there, you know how big of a flirt he is.”

“Me! Wh-,” Jackson stopped complaining as Mark slid another shot in front of him. A big grin spreading across his face, “oh Marky-mark, if you keep on feeding me shots like this I’m going to be suspicious of your intentions. Are you trying to take advantage of me?” Jackson looked ridiculous fanning himself with a false shy look on his face so Yugyeom instead returned his attention to Yerin singing, he was pretty sure that he caught her eyes a few times but afterwards she didn’t turn in their direction. Did she get creeped out by him? Trying to play it off, Yugyeom turned his attention back to his table in time to see for Rapmonster hyung and Ravi hyung to leave in preparation for their performances. At this point, the club was already decently filled up with people, a young woman in sunglasses and a large coat even accidentally bumping into Bambam hard enough for both to stumble before quickly apologizing and leaving.

“Who even wears sunglasses in a dark club at night,” Bambam whines as he meticulously checks his outfit for stains from his drink. Yugyeom spots Yerin approaching the bar so he leaves his table with a murmured excuse and arrives to stand next to her as she waves towards the busy bartender in attempts to place an order.

“Hi, I’m Yugyeom,” he begins, but at her hesitance to respond to his outstretched hand or even to look at him for longer than five seconds, he begins to stammer and lose confidence, “actually I just wanted to say that I was really impressed by your performance. So I just wanted to offer to pay for your drinks.” The offer didn’t seem to help as she began to look at him skeptically, “oh don’t misunderstand, my intentions are honest, I was just- that was probably the best live performance I’ve ever heard...um okay I’ll leave you alone now,” face hot, eyes darting around the room Yugyeom began to turn when he felt her hand on his arm.

“O-okay, thank you,” words so quietly spoken, Yugyeom had to lip-read to confirm. When they met eyes, she quickly turned and began waving for the bartender again.
