► Rainy Day - Lucite Tokki

I looked out the tinted window and just managed to see nothing but nothingness. How could my dad even drive in this condition?I puffed up my cheeks as I counted the droplets of rain sliding down the window. Great so this is how my summer will be, raining and in the country side. Yay for Summer vacation.

I haven't been to Korea in such a long time and I don't even remember what it was like. My hopes and bucket list were all in Seoul but my parents wanted to come to the sea side which when they said that I thought it was Jeju Island like on tv but we actually came to a place I've never seen before.

I was staring out the window the whole time which offered a view of just one shade of grey where the colour of the sky blended with the sea.

As we reached our destination I was the last to go out. Despite the gloomy weather it was nice to see the bright smiles my sister, mother and dad wore as they greeted the locals even though I felt out of place.

"Haneul is that you!"yelled a lady with red gumboots and yellow rubber gloves.She had curly hair and had a face lit up like a globe. I politely bowed and said hello although not 100% recalling the person. Mrs Kim I believe.

"Eh you're so grown up and pretty,"she complimented. I was bad at taking compliments all I could respond was a sheepish hello. Speaking of sheep..I looked like one.

Eunhye grabbed a boy way taller than her in a headlock and scruffled his hair"Isn't that right Myungsoo?My sister's pretty,"

My sister seriously and who is this Myungsoo? Should I know this person? He stood up and fixed his hair as he looked at me with his hands in his pocket"No..faraway but she looks better than you at least,"

Simultaneously the jaws of  Eunhye and I dropped as we sent lasers of electricity with our eyes at Myungsoo. How rude and unwelcoming.

Mrs Kim took out a bamboo stick and smacked Myungsoo on the back giving him a little jump causing the people around to erupt in laughter"Aish this boy seriously loses his manners as he ages,"

It was a funny sight to see.The egoistic and poised stature he had was now sloppy with his past elevated head hanging low.Shame washed away his stuck up attitude.I think I was staring at him longer than expected so he just poked his tongue at me and walked off to the car booth. He purposely bumped my shoulder whilst humming"Well the luggages won't carry themselves will they,are you gonna be of use or not?"

I rolled my eyes and reluctantly went to the car booth to help out but when I was about to carry them Myungsoo took all the luggages and smirked"Too slow and too much of a weakling to carry these, you can carry that though,"

His tounge is really sharp isn't it but his personality is as blunt as can be.I followed his finger to a tray of slimy fish"What's that?"

"Something only intelligent people know.They wouldn't even have to ask,"

What a smart .Chhh.Is my Summer gonna be really spent with this type of guy around. Was this guy even my legitimate bestfriend before because I cannot believe it.
