“Seoul, here I come!” Rylie Smithson said while boarding the 747.

“Cute!” the young flight attendant said when Rylie stepped on board. “I love those shoes!”

“Thanks!” Rylie smiled sweetly.

She squirmed through the aisle to get to her seat. She sat down in seat 18c, she loved sitting next to the window. Looking down through the clouds was such an amazing experience. “Phew! Just made it, time to kick back and relax.”

She pulled out her iPod and newest issue of Cosmo. Next to her sat a young woman with black hair and burgundy highlights. The woman was also listening to an iPod and reading a book. Rylie smiled to herself as the woman began to hum a familiar sounding tune. It was ‘When it Rains’ by Paramore.

After an hour into the flight, the stewardesses came by with beverages. “I’ll have a bottle of water please,” Rylie said to the lady.

“Can I have a Pepsi?” asked the woman next to Rylie. With drinks in hand the two started to converse.

“I take it you’re a Paramore fan?” Rylie asked.

“Yeah! They rock.”

“Word they do!” Rylie said taking a sip of water. “My name’s Rylie.”

“I’m Zoey, nice to meet you.” They shook hands. “So what brings you away from Hollyweird?”

“Change of scenery.” Rylie returned her gaze out the window. 

There was only a half hour left of the flight, and the two had already become good friends. Rylie explained to Zoey that she was looking for a place to live and a job.

“Small world, I’m looking for a new roommate because my friend is moving to Europe. It’s a nice apartment building; everyone gets along great. You seem like a cool person.
