Putting all of my books into my new locker, I shut it only to be surprise by Chanyeol standing on the other side. “What, may I ask, are you doing?” I place my bag strap on my shoulder as I stared at him with my arms cross.

“What? Can’t I walk my boyfriend to our class anymore like I always do?” he asks innocently with his puppy dog eyes.

I just scoff at that. “Well you don’t have to be a creeper about it. Where’s Baekhyun anyways?” I couldn’t help but notice that he wasn’t with us.

“He has an advance math class right now. But he will be joining us for lunch later.”

“Alright, let’s head to chemistry then. I don’t want to be late.” I was stop short by his arms coming around my waist.

“Whoa, whoa. Where do you think you’re going?” He turned me around before continuing. “Don’t I at least get a kiss before we get going?”

He’s so needy, but I couldn’t help but find that kind of cute. Oh, well. “Find, close your eyes and pucker up.” Following my instructions easily, I turn on my heel and made a run for it. Not today, Chanyeol.

I quickly found my class before going in and finding my name on a table. I guess we are getting assign seats. I notice that the name next to me was someone by the name of ‘Lu Han’. Huh, never heard of him. Maybe he’s new.

Taking a seat at my desk, I heard Chanyeol running in and out of breath. “There you are!” he yelled. “Do you think it was funny leaving your boyfriend like that all of a sudden?”

“Yes?” I ask.

“Really? Well I got to say-” he was cut off by our teacher coming in followed by a foreign looking boy.

“Mr. Park, I’m surprise to see that I’ll be you’re teacher again,” she said.

“Mrs. Kang! What?! I thought that you taught first year science?!?!” he yelled loudly, drawing himself the class’ attention.

“Well, I see that you haven’t change. Now sit down.”

“But-”

“I said, sit.” Following her orders, he sat down in his seat at the back of the room by some girl. “Now class before we start, I would like to introduce you all to our new foreign exchange student, Lu Han. He’ll be staying with us for the rest of the school year, so please make him feel welcome.” With that said, she told him to find his seat and she’ll start class.

Sitting down next me, I turn to give him a smile but all I got was nothing. He just ignored me. Wow, cold much. Shrugging it off I just turn to the front to see that Mrs. Kang had started to write down formulas that we’ll need to know for the starting unit.

I took out my notebook and started to copy it down the notes when I notice something odd from the corner of my eyes. I turn to look out the window and saw what look like a baby stroller.

IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET!!!!

Oh, no! I have to tell someone. But there won’t be enough time. But there’s nothing else I can do. But-

My train of thoughts was stop all of a sudden as I felt a strong pull inside of myself. My vision became blinded by the pink as I released a gasp from my mouth. I began floating through the pink mist before finding my footing on the ground and everything became clear to see.

“Again? Really?” I ask myself. It didn’t take long before I notice the stroller a few meters in front of me. I sigh in relief that I somehow made it, but it was short-lived as an incoming truck was coming down the street.

With wide-eyes I ran as fast as I could and grab the baby out of the stroller and jump out of the way. I manage to land on my back with the baby on my chest. I didn’t have to see in order to know that the stroller got crush a second later.

I heard the baby begin to cry as I stood up. I began to rock her back and forth when I spotted a woman running my way. She must be the mother. “Shh~ it’s okay, baby girl. Your mommy is coming,” I cooed to her.

I made my way to the terrified woman and met her halfway. “Oh, my god, Miyoung, are you okay?” she ask as I handed over her baby. “Mommy didn’t know any better. I should’ve not have left you alone.” She turned to me with amazement in her eyes. “Thank you, young man. I’m surprise that you got to my baby in time.”

Brushing it off I told her, “It was nothing. I just couldn’t leave her out there by herself. That eight-wheeler was just motivation I guess.”

“Well I don’t know how to repay you.”

“No, no, no. I just did this out of the kindness of my heart.” I glance down at my watch that materialized with me and I saw that it I only had a couple of minutes left before my class ends.

“Well are you sure you don’t-”

“Yep. Fine. I’m good. It’s all dandy. Gotta go.” I said with one breath. I began running towards my school while yelling over my shoulder, “BYE!! GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR BABY!!!!”

I ran through the entire building before I felt the pull again and everything went pink. I was disoriented for a moment before I jump in my seat and gasp in a huge amount of air. I guess I was a little too loud as everybody jump and turn to me.

I look around as all eyes were on me and didn’t know what to do. “Mr. Kim,” I heard from my teacher, “are you okay?”

Looking at her I tried to find a good excuse when the bell rang for the next class. “Uh, no, I’m good. Got to my next class. Bye.” I grab all my things and ran out of there. I made all the way to the courtyard without a hassle. Boy, do I need to breathe.

I fell to my knees as all of my stuff fell onto the ground. I can’t believe that just happen. Again. I tried so hard this time but the need to save the baby was too strong. Why can’t I be normal?

I was about to get up when I heard a voice behind me. “That was quite something you did back there.”

I turn my head around to see the new kid standing there. I wondered if he had seen me astral project.

“What do you mean?” I ask vaguely.

“I meant when you decided to sleep in class.” He must have took my confuse expression as something else as he said, “Don’t worry I won’t tell anybody that you took a little nap in class. So what did you have? A bad dream? Nightmare?” as he ask these things he got closer and squatted down next to me.

“Uh, no. Just a little tired I guess. I guess I didn’t get enough sleep last night or something.” I wonder why he’s talking to me now.

“Well I got some notes down if you need them,” he said this while taking out his notebook.

“Oh, no that’s alright. You might need them for later,” I tried to deny, but he was persistent.

“I insist. Plus I know what I’m doing,” he said with a wink. “Need some help up?” I didn’t even get to answer before I felt his hands go under my arms and lifting me up. He even got my stuff in his hand.

“Well I got to get going but how about we hang out later?” he asks before handing me my band as well as his notebook.

Looking into his eyes, I couldn’t help by feel compelled to say yes. I shook my head from that thought before saying, “I actually have somewhere to be later but how about another day?” There’s no harm in setting up something that he’ll probably forget, right?

“Well I hope to see you later,” he wink one more time before leaving. He was almost gone when he shouted, “By the way, you look very cute when you blush!”

That’s when I realized that my cheeks were heating up. What’s he doing to me?

I just let out a frustrated groan before running to my next class. Hopefully I won’t see him later on.
