Jongin felt the corners of his lips stretch into his most genuine smile, chuckling stupidly to himself as he eyed the childish emoticons his girlfriend sent him. She always liked doing things like that. On good days, Jongin even played along. 

Turning his phone off, he crawled out of the comforting warmth of his bed with a small grunt. It was one of his very rare rest days and he didn't want to spend it contributing to the dead atmosphere of the dorm; ever since Luhan departed from the group, things haven't really been the same. Maybe that was a good thing, but somewhere in the back of their heads, they all knew that they were thinking the same thing -- who's next? Of course nobody wanted another member gone, but it was only a realistic question (even though nobody voiced it out loud). Being an idol under intense pressure of a big company, massive amounts of fans, and the expectations for yourself wasn't easy for any of the exo members. But people come and go and that's the harsh truth. Along the way, people also quickly realize whether this wasn't their dream after all or if it's all they've been wanting to live for.

As Jongin stepped outside of the dorm and into the uncomfortable afternoon chill, hoodie and sweats warming him generously, thoughts and questions flooded his mind. Most of them had to do with a specific girl -- Girls' Generation's Kwon Yuri.

He's been dating his Yuri noona for almost a year now. 12-06-13; he could never forget the day she finally said yes to him. It was, after all, only a day after the girl's birthday. Although it took quite a lot of effort and energy from courting and giving, Jongin found that all of that was worth it as soon he felt the way their hands completed each others', like a puzzle, for the very first time. Safely said, she made him happy beyond words.

Blinking out of his trance, Jongin took a total of three seconds to realize that he's been walking aimlessly through the streets. Great, he thought bitterly, scowling behind the black mask that sealed his identity. He was going to have to retrace his steps to figure out where the hell he's wandered off to. With a mildly frustrated exhale, the young man stuffed his gradually numbing hands into the holes of his hoodie and walked towards a café he spotted nearby, hoping with a heavy heart that nobody could see the pain in his eyes.
