Byun Baekhyun knows falling in love with Do Kyungsoo is like plummeting to his death from a parachuting experience gone wrong -- exhiliarating, but terrifying.

Kyungsoo is reluctant to open up to Baekhyun because he doesn't want a repeat of having his heart torn out of his chest over and over again.

Baekhyun and Kyungsoo are two lonely souls on the same train, only, the first one Kyungsoo should've been on left years ago. Baekhyun's always been the one trying to chase the right train at the right time, but he always seems to miss it by a mere fraction of a second.

They're both on the same train now, because Baekhyun's finally caught up with Kyungsoo, but Kyungsoo's still wondering if he can catch up to that trip he should have gone on with Jongin a long time ago.

"Kyungsoo," Baekhyun pleads. "Won't you take the risk with me?" Kyungsoo only gives Baekhyun a sad smile. "I'm sorry. I promised Jongin."

Baekhyun's hands only curl into fists at Kyungsoo's words. "But do you think he'd be waiting for you?" he asks quietly.Kyungsoo's lips straighten into a tight line as he responds. "I hope he would be. I'm sorry, Baek."

Baekhyun's not one to give up easily but he knows he needs to let it go for the moment. Not like he'd need to give up completely on Kyungsoo anyway.

"Then allow me this much, Soo. Please don't hit me for this."

Before Kyungsoo can respond, Baekhyun pulls him into a bone-crushing hug, and Kyungsoo can hear Baekhyun letting out a loud exhale the same moment he feels wetness seeping through the fabric of his collar. "No matter what happens, Soo," Baekhyun's voice is barely above a whisper, almost drowned by the chattering in the train. "I'll be here."
