Chapter 4

“He’s a total jerk! A moron! He doesn’t even care what others would feel! He’s real stupid! No, actually he’s beyond stupid! He doesn’t even have a brain! I hate him! I hate him so much! ~” Miyu was saying to herself as she kept on wiping her tears that won’t stop from falling down her cheeks.

“Ugh. This is unbelievable! I don’t have any memories of my past, and I don’t even know my real name or my family… And now, I’m stuck with an idiot who can’t even be sensitive for others’ emotions! He’s such a… ARGH!” Miyu yelled as if it was a way to relieve her frustrations. She was shouting and cursing Yamada Ryosuke with all that she’s got while sniffling and wiping her tears.

“What could I have done in my past life to deserve this?! I couldn’t have killed anyone, right? I really don’t think I deserve this! This…” she sniffed and wiped her tears again before she continued, “But… But still I’m lucky that I’m alive. And I’m alive because of that jerk! I… Oh God, Why?! Why does it have to be him?! Why—“

“Why not?”

Miyu turned around to see a guy her age looking at her. He was very tall and he was lean but he has a very good style with clothes. He looks so much like the model she saw on one of the posters inside the department store.

“E-excuse me? I… Did you hear everything that I was saying? I mean… ” Miyu said, as she saw the guy sit beside her. He smiled at her and handed her a handkerchief.

“No. I just heard you when you were asking why it had to be him. Did I get that right?” asked the guy as he looked at her, she just nodded and waited for him to continue,

“Well, why not then? There has to be a reason why it had to be him. There has to be a reason for you to meet him… I think it’s meant to be that way. Just like how we’re meant to meet here.” the guy then smiled at her sweetly. And Miyu had to admit that the guy has such magnetic charms.

“What—“

“Mirai-chan…” Miyu’s eyes came close to bulging out from their sockets the moment the guy hugged her. And though she wanted to push him away, there was something in her that felt that she belonged there. In his arms she felt familiarly... safe.

“I missed you. I missed you so much... Welcome back.”

Miyu was so stunned to move, just thinking that this guy knows her was already too much of a shock and hearing him welcome her back like that was like a miracle.

“You…” But before she could say anything, it dawned into her… Is she really who he was calling Mirai?
