Why does it have to be her?

The image of her doing her daily routine, smiling happily in every movement she made, was playing on repeat in my head

I want to open my eyes with you, smile and kiss you

Why does it have to be me?

And there was me, standing outside watching her intently

Just stay by my side

Why couldn’t our world be together?

Then it went back to the reality. As I realized, I was already in the water, losing my own breath as I tried to pull her to the surface.

“Hang in there!”

Was the last words I could say to her
