Hybrids 

They are the so-called nasty abomination that the purebloods deamed useless and weak. They are the mix made by a human and a vampire. They are the disgrace of the vampire society because they are impure. Being half-human enables them to walk in the sun, but it restricts them from gaining special gifts that the purebloods contained.

... And it pains Jung Soojin that, that's all hybrids will ever be.
