-CRITICAL RECEPTION-
After that wonderful start to their career, they released what is seen by many as the song that stamped 2NE1′s position as one of Korea’s leading Girl groups; ‘I Don’t Care‘. Produced by 2NE1′s symbolic 5th member, Teddy who is also the creator of ‘Lollipop’ and ‘Fire’, alongside Kush the member of reggae group Stony Skunk, ‘I Don’t Care’ captured the interest of the general Korean population. With it’s unique medium tempo reggae and R&B style, it went on to become one of top the songs of 2009. The Mini Album as a whole still remain’s one of the most successful Rookie Album’s in Kpop history. In fact, many critics consider 2ne1′s First Mini Album as one of the best idol albums ever produced.
