You were startled awake by the incessant beeping of your alarm clock. As you sat up in bed you thought to yourself ‘where the heck am I?’, before realisation hit a second later. “Oh” you muttered. You were currently in your new bed, in your new room, in your new home that you had moved into just a few days prior. After peeling back the bed cover you stepped out of your bed and walked over to your wardrobe. Today you would start attending your new high school, Paradise High. A sarcastic laugh spilled from your lips at the thought. ‘Paradise High, in Paradise Hills. What a joke!’, the irony of the name of this place not lost on you. 

    Paradise Hills is a secluded small town that rarely had any newcomers. There can’t be more than 1000 people living there, which means that everyone knows everyone. The asphalt that made up the streets were cracked, most of the buildings needed repainting and in some severe cases the buildings looked like they would collapse at any minute. You shook away your thoughts of the condition this ‘Paradise’ was in and opened the wardrobe door to find your new school uniform. 

    Despite everything else in this town seemingly falling apart, the school uniform you now had in your hands was really beautiful, even more so than the school uniform at your old school. After putting on your new uniform you started thinking about the differences between your old and new school uniform. Your old school uniform had a long red and green plaid skirt that reached below your knees with a with simple shirt and a black jacket with a tie matching the skirt. This uniform, however, had a short black skirt that reached just below mid thigh, there was also a white shirt that went with it, but it wasn’t just a plain white shirt. It had ruffles, starting at the neck and going down to just above the stomach, which fit perfectly with the black jacket which had a white pattern following all the seams. And last but not lea
