Summary: Luhan finds something his first love had kept from him for five years

Luhan remembers his senior year five years ago to be a little bit dramatic year.

That year, he met his best friend, Huang Zitao. Even until now Zitao is as bubbly as ever. He’d never forget how Zitao had taken the first step to befriend him at the beginning of the senior year, although maybe it was out of pity. In the end, both of them became the mate to each other’s soul, even after Zitao’s married with Kris just this year’s summer. Kris is also his other best friend too, so he thinks it’s fine.

That year, he met his first boyfriend. Kim Minseok, who’s also his colleague at Wu Enterprise, was a very kind person back then, and of course until now. He’s always thankful that Minseok was his first experience in dating, and he’s not sure if there’s any other guy as good as Minseok. So he’s also thankful that Minseok gets the best; Kim Jongdae, Kris’ cheerful and sassy secretary. Maybe they look a little bit dysfunctional at the first sight, but as Luhan watches them interacting with each other, he could see that Jongdae completes the holes in Minseok’s life.

That year, too, he met his first love. Oh Sehun, whom he had never seen since he left Seoul right after Christmas in 2009. The one that he never forget even after being away for years. The one that stays inside the depth of his heart.

The one that the grave in front of him was built for.

It has been four years since Sehun had passed away. Two years after he came back to Seoul. Yet Luhan only braves himself to visit Sehun’s grave now. He was scared of what he will feel if he comes. And true enough, he’s feeling a lot of emotions. Grief. Sadness. Regret. He can’t tell anymore.

He can’t even stop the tears from falling. It’s like he’s never going to ran out of them. What’s the use now? After all these years, Luhan is still in love with Sehun, even if the said person has been long gone.

He spends another thirty minutes crying before he gets back to Minseok’s apartment.

“What is this?”

Minseok smiles softly at him, handing the medium-sized white box. “Something Sehun left for you before he died.”

For that, Luhan frowns. “Me? He left something for me?”

“Yes, Luhan.”

“But why?” Luhan asks, eyeing the box. “I mean, I’m just his friend. I mean, if I get something, you guys should’ve got something too, right?”

Minseok pats his friend on the back. “Just open it. Maybe you’d find the answer inside.”

After dwelling with his thoughts, Luhan decides to leave for home. He waits patiently until he’s safe inside his bedroom and starts to open the box, blinking in confusion when Polaroid photos greet him from the inside.

And he’s the only one present in every single picture.

“I-I’m sorry! I didn’t see you, I’m so sorry!”

“… uh, it’s fine, seriously.”

When the news about Luhan’s departure was out, I had thought of quitting this barely started fic and just stop writing HunHan. But then I found a lot of HunHan authors, great ones, stating that they won’t stop writing just because Luhan’s not in EXO anymore. So then I thought, what the hell was wrong with me? I’d write what I want to write, no matter if Luhan’s not with Sehun anymore. I want to keep them as a fond memory with keep writing fics about them – although this fic is not the best place to do so LOL.

Ten, and maybe will lessen, in our eyes,

but always twelve in our hearts.
