there is a boy who catches my bus
who has bluey-grey eyes as clear
as the lake
the kids go swimming in.
he sits with his friends
and laughs a lot at little
things.
and when his friends are silent,
he looks out the window.
i sit two seats behind him
and i think he is beautiful.
there is a boy who catches my bus
who acts happy every morning
from 7am.
he sits with his friends
and gives them empty smiles
and wears long sleeves
in the middle of summer.
i sit two seats behind him
and i think he is beautiful.
there is a boy who catches my bus
who has bluey-grey eyes as empty
as the
lake the kids go swimming in, in
winter.
he sits with his friends
and stares at his lap
and when his friends say
something funny,
he doesn't laugh anymore.
i sit two seats behind him
and i think he's beautiful.
there was a boy who caught my bus
who was found by his parents
after he had shot himself.
he wrote a letter to his friends
and told them that he loved them.
he wrote a letter to his parents
saying sorry.
and he wrote a letter to the sad
girl
who sat two seats behind him on
the bus,
and told her that she was
beautiful.
Author's note i had originally planned to write a story inspired by this poem, but after two paragraphs, decided that the poem will be more beautiful than any story that i could have written.
on another note, this poem is extremely sad because it accurately reflects the condition of many teenagers in this day and age. if you or anyone you know is experiencing depression, please seek immediate help. it doesn't have to be a psychologist helping you. it could be your mom, dad, aunt, best friend or even a random stranger who feels the same way. i would be more than happy to talk to you. and i promise that i won't bite. and i won't ask too many questions either.
as i was typing this poem out, i wondered if there was to be an alternate ending, how the story would have went instead. alas, my creative juices ran out this morning and i wasn't able to reproduce a replacement for the last 3 stanzas of the poem. and i would really love it if any of you would send me your own endings to the poem if you have the spare time to do so. it will be posted on this chapter with full credit right beside the original poem. this is just optional and i thought it would be nice to try it :3
all in all, thanks for subscribing once again! and keep on telling me about what you think about the poems that i have posted. ^v^
(oh and, double update for today teehee~)
