Tashiro Kou is a mini-mart cashier who decided to wait a year until settling into a stressful college life. Everyday he faced the same people and went through the same boring routine. His life was filled with ups and downs, both comical and pathetically mediocre. Then with an impression that left a mark on his mind, Tanaka Nagisa stepped into his average life. Whenever she came to buy milk, Kou would always recommend a certain beverage or snack, telling her that it would clear the cold she always seemed to have. Of course, it was simply a placebo that did wonders on Nagisa's weak health. When Kou finds out that she's been diagnosed with lung cancer, he pulls out his most effective medicine: love's placebo.
