Fantastic Body

Chaerin was working in the recording studio when the beginning sounds of MTBD started playing grabbing her attention, signifying that she received a text message. 

She reached over and slid her fingers across the screen in the designated pattern to unlock her phone.  Chaerin smiled as she read the message.

YG Family! Missed my premiere? Come watch Tazza 2 today at 6PM.  Special screening only for my YG family family family!  -Mr. T.O.P

She has been excited to see this movie ever since she heard Minzy and Dara rave about it the other night after coming back from the premiere.  Chaerin had wanted to attend the movie premiere with them, but due to scheduling conflicts, she had to go to the Tiffany & Co launching party.  But luck was on her side today, as her Tabi oppa was arranging this time for all of them to go see it. 

Just then the door to the studio opened and in walked Jiyong, casually, wearing his ripped boot-cut jeans with a white v-neck shirt and a gold Chanel chain hanging around his neck.

“Hi oppa!” She greeted him as her eyes formed into their crescent shape. He absolutely adored that smile of hers.

“Hey Hunchae! How are the songs coming along?” He asked as he sat himself down onto the black leather sofa behind the sound board and Chaerin. 

“It’s going well.  I’m almost done with one of my songs for my solo album.  Now I’m just working on one for 2NE1’s album,” Chaerin said as she swiveled in her chair to face him.

“That’s great! I’m glad you’re getting some work done.  I think I need to follow your example, leader!” He teased. “But because you’re working so hard, have you even eaten yet? I know how you get when you’re in ‘work mode’. You tend to not eat.  Want to go grab a bite with me?”

“No, I didn’t eat yet. You know me too well, oppa.   I was thinking of eating after I go watch Tabi oppa’s movie.” Just then Jiyong’s face fell a bit, unbeknownst to Chaerin.  An unknown feeling  started to clench at his heart.  He tried to shake off this foreign feeling.  And it’s not that he didn’t want her to go and support TOP. He really did want her, and everyone else, to go and see the movie.  But that damn shirtless scene.  It just made him uneasy thinking that Chaerin would be seeing TOP’s sculpted body paired with that handsome face of his too. When it came to his ‘Hunchae’, he knew that he always got a bit territorial.

Jiyong shifted his position on the couch, leaning closer to Chaerin, resting his elbows on his knees. “I know you’ve been working all day. And I know that when you get in the zone you don’t eat.  So you probably haven’t eaten since this morning or anything at all today, am I right?” The guilt was caught in her eyes.  “I’m worried whenever you do this.” Jiyong voiced, concernedly.  He genuinely was.  But he had other worries that occupied his mind.  And it involved Chaerin going to see TOP’s body  movie.  “I’m not letting you do anything until you have had some food in your system.”

“I know you’re worried oppa and I’m thankful for that. How about..”Chaerin tapped her pointer finger on her chin, her eyes wandered to explore the ceiling tiles of the room. 

‘She always looks so cute like that,’ he thought to himself and then shook his head, trying to focus on her words.

She continued on, “How about we just grab something quick to eat down in the cafeteria, go watch the movie, and then we’ll go have dinner.  How does that sound, oppa?”  

“But I think you should eat now!  You haven’t even eaten this whole day!” Jiyong started, the desperation in his voice now shining through a little.

Chaerin raised her eyebrows in befuddlement at the way her Jingyo oppa was behaving.  “Why am I getting the feeling that this isn’t about eating at all. Do you not want me to see the movie, oppa?” Chaerin was hoping that she would get a clear answer from him.

“N-no, i-it’s not that,” he stuttered, a bit flustered at Chaerin catching onto him. “I’m just worried about you.” That was part of the reason.  “Just like when you worry about me when I don’t stay current on my daily meals.”

“Yeah, I understand where you’re coming from..and I promise not to make you worried anymore.  But this is the only chance I’ll get to see Tabi oppa’s movie, so how about just this once-“

Just then the studio door burst open and in came the subject of their conversation and also of Jiyong’s worries.  “Hello my two leaders!!” TOP shouted, his deep voice resonating in the room. 

“Hey hyung.” Jiyong greeted quietly and slightly annoyed.

“Hi oppa!” Chaerin said enthusiastically. “We were just talking about you!”

“Really? What were you saying about me?” TOP inquired. “Ohh!  You’re coming to my movie screening right, Chaerin-ah?  You didn’t make it to the premiere.” TOP said as he expressed a frown with his bottom lip hanging lower than the top.

Chaerin couldn’t help but to break out into her infamous hearty laugh seeing her oppa behaving like the 5-year old child that he was.  “I’m sorry I missed it oppa.  I’ll be sure to catch the screening today, so you can wipe that frown off your face.”  And as soon as she said that, TOP jumped over and grabbed her hands and he jumped up and down, still clutching her hands.

Chaerin just laughed along with this happy Bingu TOP. ‘He must really be proud of this movie,’ she thought to herself.

What went unnoticed was the look of jealousy and discontent that was plastered on Jiyong’s face as TOP and Chaerin were both jumping for joy.  Chaerin’s hands in TOP’s and ignoring his presence really didn’t sit well with him.  Jiyong just crossed both his arms and legs, leaning into the couch, unimpressed by the scene in front of him, until, “Jiyong, you’re coming too right?” TOP asked, snapping him back. “I know you like seeing this,” TOP said as he let go of Chaerin’s hands and slid them down his covered torso. All the while not forgetting to wink at his leader. 

Chaerin couldn’t help but to snicker at how her Tabi oppa was behaving.  She knew that he was 4D, but this side of him was new to her too, but it was nice seeing him be so joyful. 

“Uh..Maybe Chaerin and I will have to watch it another time.  CL-roo here hasn’t eaten yet, so we’re going to go have dinner.  Sorry, bro, we won’t catch the showing.  For sure another time though,” Jiyong grumbled. 
 

“Oh! That’s fine! There’s food at the screening! Of course I would think of you all…! I took the liberty of catering some food for us.  So yay! You guys are going to come!” TOP commanded as he looked at the two leaders.  But as TOP glanced over at Jiyong, he saw a hint of something on his leader’s face that is usually not present. Pure jealousy. 

TOP couldn’t help but to smirk at his own discovery of why Jiyong was acting the way he was right now. And it had something to do with the very beautiful gizibe in the room with them. Everyone in YG family had always noticed the strong feelings between the two leaders.  That is, everyone, except for Chaerin and Jiyong. 

Jiyong, especially couldn’t place where his ill-feelings for his band mate was coming from. He had a guess, but to admit it would mean admitting to something that Jiyong himself can’t even confess to yet.  And to confess what you may ask? That he is starting to have feelings for his favorite dongseng, his best friend, Chaerin. But this raw feeling of wanting to just take Chaerin and get as far away from this prying oppa was so tempting right at this moment. But refraining from scaring her, Jiyong decided against it.

“So you guys are coming right?” TOP questioned, emphasizing the last word. He was feeling mischievous today, “And Chaerin-ah, you’ll get to see an exclusive on your TOP oppa.” He mentioned, once again his toned body underneath the white button-up collar shirt he was wearing.

Chaerin could not stop the heat that was rising to her cheeks at his comment. “I mean, it’s not like it’s the first time you’ve seen it.” He stated as-a-matter of face. “But I’m sure you would want a better view of it instead of the other two times you have seen it.”

Jiyong’s ears perked up, “T-two t-times?” Jiyong managed to choke out as he looked back to Chaerin, who he never really let out of sight anyways.  “I thought it was just once? That time you mentioned on Strong Heart.”

“I-“ Chaerin paused, “well, you see.. At the YG family concert the other week in Seoul-“

“She purposely walked in on me as I was changing into my Doom Dada attire.” TOP interrupted!

“I did not oppa!” Chaerin objected, hitting TOP lightly on the arm.

“Did to!”

“Did not! How was I supposed to know that that’s where you were changing?”  The two playfully exchanged, causing distress to Jiyong.

“I know you wanted a peak at my amazingly hot body.  Admit it, what you saw didn’t disappoint right?”

By now, Chaerin was flushed with embarrassment and Jiyong was annoyed at the bickering of these two.  It was uncomfortable to see her so comfortable with someone else.  He always knew that Chaerin had many male friends and that she was close to them all.  However, his prior knowledge of Chaerin’s admiration for TOP dearly, as a rapper and a person, fueled his frustration even more.  It made him feel insecure about his own relationship with her.  And on top of it all, no one has ever seen TOP shirtless, but Chaerin, his Hunchae, has seen it more than Jiyong himself has.  Just knowing this fact alone means that Chaerin and TOP have a different connection that he can’t be a part of. 

Jiyong concluded that TOP must have some sort of feelings for Chaerin if he is okay with exposing himself to her on multiple occasions.  With this thought in his mind, Jiyong felt defeated.
