Eunhyuk’s POV

“I’m hungry.”

I heard Ryeowook whined. Ryeowook was trying to write lyrics at the dining table while Donghae, Sungmin and I were watching a movie together. We were munching on some snacks and I called out to Ryeowook and offered him to take a break and eat something but he refused.

“I really want to finish this up.” Ryeowook answered. “Thanks anyway.”

“What are you doing anyway?” Sungmin teased. “We just released an album. You’re a little too late to write songs.”

“I’m just writing for fun. I just got some random ideas and want to see where I can go from here.”

All of us were like that anyway so we understood what he meant. We went back to watching the movie while Ryeowook worked silently. We heard someone entering the apartment and turned around to find Shindong. He greeted us loudly and held up a couple of plastic bags, beaming brightly.

“Guess who decided to be a good hyung and brought you rascals some bbq meat and kimchi fried rice?” Shindong sung.

We jumped up from the couch and like puppies, we surrounded Shindong and excitedly took the plastic bags, taking out the food in the containers and started to dig in, the movie long forgotten. The meat was so delicious, I really couldn’t stop eating. I loved food, always had and always would. The other members were all eating silently and I knew that they were enjoying themselves too. I finally looked up from my food to see if there were any other food Shindong had brought but my gaze fell on Ryeowook who was watching us.

“Wook, aren’t you going to have some?” I was about to ask when Shindong beat me to it.

Ryeowook shook his head and smiled. “I’m not hungry.”

“You just complaint that you were hungry a while ago, Wookie.” Donghae pointed out then told Shindong. “He’s on a diet.”

“Aish diet again?” Shindong shook his head disapprovingly. “The only person that has to go on diets in this group is me but I really don’t give a when the food’s so good like this. Come on, Wookie, just try it!”

Ryeowook touched his stomach and I could see that he was really hungry. His face looked different and his eyes roamed over the table of food. Ryeowook hesitated before nodding and taking a seat next to Donghae. I gave him a plate and wanted to scoop some rice but Ryeowook stopped me and said that he would do it himself.  I watched as Ryeowook scooped a bit of rice onto his place and only took one piece of meat.

“That’s not going to be enough.” Shindong laughed. “Here, come on, you can start your diet tomorrow!”

Shindong took Ryeowook’s plate and scooped more rice and meat into it and Ryeowook suddenly just looked blank. His eyes were wide and he stared at the food on his plate not saying anything. I wondered if the other members noticed how different he looked right now. Ryeowook finally took a breath and I didn’t know I took a breath too, intently watching Ryeowook’s every move. Ryeowook took one bite from his spoon and I realized that his eyes started to water again.

“W.. Wook, are you okay?” Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who was observing him as Sungmin leaned forward and touched his shoulders worriedly.

Ryeowook didn’t answer and instead, he took another bite of his rice. And suddenly, Ryeowook was stuffing spoon after spoon of rice into his mouth. His eyes begun to water more and Ryeowook started trembling.

“Ryeowook, stop it, what’s going on??” Sungmin asked, holding down Ryeowook’s hand from him stuffing rice into his mouth.

“I’m…. I’m going to be fat.” Ryeowook suddenly whispered with his mouth full. “I’m…. I’m never going to lose weight.”

“What?” Shindong asked, confused.

“And this is all your fault!!”

Ryeowook suddenly stood up and picked up his plate of food, throwing it across the table. Thank god that it was a plastic plate or it would broke into pieces. Ryeowook reached across the table and took Shindong and my plate and threw it across the house too while he screamed. Donghae jumped out of his seat and tried to hold Ryeowook but he just shrugged away.

“What the is wrong with you?!” Shindong shouted.

“ME!?” Ryeowook screamed. “You forced me to eat when I didn’t want to! I have to lose weight, why can’t you see!!!???”

“Even if you had to lose weight you don’t have to throw food around!” Shindong spat back.

Ryeowook cursed and shouted back at Shindong and both of them started throwing insults at each other. Sungmin was trying hard to hold Shindong back while Donghae was trying to shout at them to stop fighting. I, on the other hand, was just too frozen by what happened. I…. What even just happened? I couldn’t explain even if I tried! Ryeowook suddenly lunged forward and that was when I came down to my senses and tried to hold Ryeowook down.
