He wasn't sure how they became so close. Last time he checked, he was doing all his best to avoid female interaction: not out of any spite, but simply because he doesn't want to repeat the same mistakes he made in the past. He clams himself from the world, finding solace in the comforts of his room, or in the company of his two best friends. He doesn't want to form bonds that will only end up breaking later, or to wound himself with relationships that will never work out. 

So why were his lips held against hers?
