Hello everyone! The results for the contest came out and I'm pleased to say I made it in third place! 

*throws confetti and parties hard*

To be honest, before I even submitted my entry I had read all the other contestants' work and I was blown away by theirs.  I wasn't expecting to win at all.  If you check out the first place winner's entry it was just amazing.  I loved it.  Anyways, I entered because I wanted to write about Kris.  It wasn't about the prizes or karma.  Kris is my ultimate bias and Phoenix Slayer has been the only fic I've written with him as the main character that I've really been proud of.  This piece just felt right to create.

So now that the results are out, I'm going to reveal a bit of trivia regarding this fic. There was so much I could not fit into the fic and that I had to cut otherwise it would have been too long for a one shot. Aethyr, also asked a series of questions that I'm going to answer.  So here we go :)

Trivia

1. The eldest Kim son is never mentioned by name and because it's an EXO fic, you may have been wondering if it was either Junmyeon or Minseok.  The answer is that it was Junmyeon.

2.  Aethyr asked why the ring in the beginning was important of the story.  This is one of the scenes I wanted in the story but it wasn't really necessary so I cut it.  The ring belongs to Yifan.  His mother gave it to him when he was a boy but he lost it in a fight with Jongdae before the events in the story.  The job in the beginning of the story was so that he could get it back from some random thug that found it.  I was originally going to have Yifan propose in the end with this ring but I decided it kills an assassin's image with random cheesy moments and dramatically romantic monologues.

3.  Aethyr also asked why Lord Kim wanted his wife dead.  Lord Kim had planned to have his wife killed before this story even started.  In the palace there was a secret political plot for Lord Park to seduce Lady Kim and essentially ruin her so that Lord Kim would never be able to show his face in court again.  Their entire family would be humiliated if that were to happen and she would have to kill herself in shame.  Remember in those times, a woman was basically considered property and men could do whatever they wanted.  It wouldn't have been shameful for Lord Park to seduce her but it would be disgusting for Lady  Kim to be seduced.  So within the story Lord Kim found out about this plot and decided to have his wife die by "accident" so that plot would
