     I dig my fingernails into my cheeks until I can feel refreshing pain sting through me. Blood drips down my skin as I dig deeper and deeper, not stopping, not wanting to. I'm sure they still think it's a game, I'm sure they do, but it's not anymore. I want to wake up. This dream has gone on for far too long―I'm losing myself in my own head, I don't know how to get home anymore. I can't wake up.        I drag my nails down my cheeks, to my neck and chest. I am ripping up my own skin to make sure I'm still alive, to feel the last bit of reality in this heavenly jail.
