Chapter 7

Orchid In Plural

I spend the night at Jongin’s house. No one talked to me or told me the full story of what happened. They let me be in my own company and I fell asleep on the couch. My eyes opened around 2 a.m. someone my back to a rhythm. My face buried in the pillows of the couch. I know it’s Jongin. No one else would comfort me in such a sweet way. “Tell me, it’s all a dream.” He doesn’t reply. “ Remember when we watched that really romantic movie and this couple cuddled on the couch? You said you wanted to know what it felt like, so we did it and ended up falling asleep in each other’s arms. I’d say we beat the romantic movie.” I hate him right now. “Scoot over.” I hate myself right now. “Leave. I don’t need your sweet words to make me feel good. I don’t want to hear your caring voice. Leave me alone, because for the first time I don’t need you. We’ve been friends for too long and you’re getting annoying with your perfect boy act. Leave me and never come near me again.”
