Jou Suji was a sweet girl from the countryside. She moved to Seoul at the beginning of summer to work and save up for her university. She met Kim Taehyung when he became her co-worker, after summer ended and an awkward incident between the two she didn't think that she would see him again much less share a dorm with him. The tension between the two escalated further when Suji meets Kim Myungsoo, an older student that becomes her tutor. 

Characters

Jou Suji:

"The bright lights are blinding."

Born and raised in the countryside. Suji has never been to Seoul prior to being accepted to her university, because of this she's very intimidated by the capital's ambience but otherwise she's usually a collected young girl with a quick wit. 

Suji moved out of her family home after high school and rented a small apartment in Seoul when she began working during the summer. Her family isn't able to pay for her tuition so she strives to support herself in the duration in which she's in university and is willing to put up with difficult work to achieve her goal.

Kim Taehyung:

"When inane meets selfish."

Suji and Taehyung first met when they became co-workers for their summer job. Though initially awkward, they bond over the summer and there is an obvious attraction between him and Suji. He's very clear with what he likes and dislikes (and is usually quite vocal about it). He is childish, has a strange sense of humor and moves in his own pace. 

Taehyung moved out of his home because he, like Suji, wants to start supporting himself without the help of his family. 

Kim Myungsoo:

"Searching for a spark in his seemingly content life."

An older student that ends up becoming Suji's tutor. He's popular amongst the students for being both handsome and a well-off honor student. Myungsoo and Suji had a bad start but soon Suji learns that he isn't as scary as he looked, when in fact he was quite a nice person and she simply misunderstood him before. He's usually quiet, rational and a very levelheaded person. He tries to act on practicality but is actually a big sweetheart on the inside.

Intinally with a girlfriend, Myungsoo's thoughts and interests shift after meeting Suji. He has substantial wealth in comparison to Suji and Taehyung (who are living frugaly).
