Their cold little hands tightly gripped the back of my shirt, lugging me further down the hallway. My back harshly came in contact with splinters, loose nails, and broken floor boards.
I squirmed in their hold to break free, making me sway back and forth, bumping into the walls.
Then, they unceremoniously threw me in the air. I let out a pathetic shriek when I hit the floor with a dull thud. Whimpering, I turned to lay flat on my stomach to ease the throbbing pain on my back.
“Ugh… …”
Suddenly, I started panting heavily. My heart was pounding in my chest and beating a mile per hour like I just ran 10 laps around a track field, my skin slick from sweat, and my vision became hazy like I was about to pass out ( but I won’t be needing them anyways ). I was thinking that maybe it’s the darkness that’s causing it. A strange heaviness was pressing down on me, probably causing this sudden exhaustion. They must’ve done this on purpose so I wouldn’t escape so easily, leaving me no choice but to unwillingly join their little game.
“Big brother is it!”
I flinched. I know if I don’t get up and run I just might lose something else besides a finger. Attempting for the nth time, I struggled to push myself up with these knackered arms when a little hand wrapped its cold digits around my wrist.
“Wow… Big brother is so warm.” The little girl cooed. She picked it up and gently caressed the palm, ghosting along the hairlines that made me flinch every time her dead finger touched the skin. “The living is so warm…” She purred as she the back of my hand against her c
