Niel sat on the couch waiting for the group’s turn to perform. They’d been promoting their new song for a while but he still got nervous right before performing. What if his voice cracked? What if he forgot his lines? Niel continued to run possible scenarios through his head. Suddenly he heard a bunch of giggling that broke him out of these thoughts. He looked to his left and saw CAP tickling Ricky. Why was he tickling him? Darn it why did I have to space out right then? He tried to listen closely to what they were saying without seeming too obvious. “Stop hyung,” Ricky squealed between fits of laughter. “Only if you promise,” CAP said continuing to tickle him. Promise what? Niel continued to listen in. “Okay I promise I won’t,” Ricky said holding up his hands in surrender. Hearing this CAP stopped and walked over to L.Joe and Chunji. Niel watched him as he began to talk animatedly with them about the performance. He glanced back over at Ricky and saw he was now playing a video game. Slowly he walked over and sat next to him. “Can I watch?” he asked. Ricky nodded staying concentrated on his game. Niel sat silently and thought of how he could bring it up without raising suspicions. “Darn it I died again,” Ricky practically yelled, switching off the game. Niel was surprised by his outburst and stared wide-eyed at him. “Sorry, I get so frustrated sometimes.” Niel just nodded at him. “Oh hey, guess what?” Ricky asked excitedly. His mood had taken a 180 turn in about two seconds. “What?” Niel wondered what could have made him forget about loosing so easily. “So do you know about CAP hyung?” Niel tried not to look too excited when he said this and shook his head no. “Well, he has a crush on someone here!” Ricky giggled in excitement. “Oh?” Niel tried to act surprised but couldn’t help but think Of course it’s me.  Ricky leaned over and whispered in Niel’s ear, “It’s Dasom from Sistar.” “What?” Niel shouted causing everyone to look his way. “Sorry,” he apologized to everyone. “Don’t tell him I told you though. I don’t know if I’m supposed to tell anyone else. He just made me promise I wouldn’t tell her, but I didn’t right? So I don’t think he’ll get mad. Right?” Ricky rambled on, but Niel was too lost in his own thoughts to listen to him anymore. What? He liked Dasom? But hadn’t he said about a month earlier that he liked Niel? More than a friend too. And that he was sure of it. But now he liked Dasom? Niel looked over at CAP to see he was coming toward them. Ricky immediately stopped his babbling. “Come on we’re about to go on.” Niel couldn’t help but stare at CAP as he said this. “Niel you okay?” CAP asked. “Yeah, I was just thinking about something.” CAP smiled. “Okay. Let’s go,” he said as he started to pull Niel up by the hands. Niel let him and then realized they were basically holding hands and let go, falling back onto the couch. “Why’d you let go?” CAP asked holding his hands out again. “It’s fine. I can get up myself,” Niel said a bit irritated. CAP just looked confused, nodded, and walked off toward the stage. Niel took a deep breath, stood up, and headed the same way.
