What the ?! I bought a ring on a sidewalk vendor this afternoon and after wearing it now my phone beeped crazily. I answered the unregistered incoming call and that said I am a runner??? Runner? I take a lot of time mustering my will to just walk. Duh. After the statement of the cheeky voice of the caller the line went dead. I went out of my rented rooftop room and tried dialling the caller. It says it is an invalid number.

Okay, this is creepy. The ring doesn't have anything to do with this, right? I tried removing the ring but it won't come off. 

Think positive Dara! That is just a prank call. That's right. Relax. Relax. I'll just sleep this off. I turned around towards my door when I suddenly felt a hand gripping my shoulders. When i looked back  almost had an heart attack.

 

"WAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaHHHhhhh! W-who are you?! How did you get in here?!" A red hair woman who i think forgot to wear her pants is looking, or glaring I should say, intently at me.

She appeared out of nowhere. HOW? I'm sure she's not acquainted to Do Minjoon. Or is she??

"WHY DO YOU HAVE TO WEAR THE DAMN RING IN THE MIDDLE OF MY DATE?!" The red-haired girl shouted at me. Alright, I am lost. And scared.

 

"What are you talking about? Who are you? How did you get in here? What ring? This?" I asked her and raised my hand to show the ring I bought. She just looked at it and didn't answer back.

 

"Hey! Are you the one on the prank call??" She grabbed my shoulders and started shaking me.

 

"HOLY ! That is the Millenium Chain!!!That one is supposed to be vanished from existence! How did you get your hands on that??"  I can tell she's on a panic mode. Which is weird because I am sure I'm supposed to be the one panicking.

 

Oh my God! Who is this crazy girl? I grabbed my phone on my jacket pocket using my left hand, inconspicuously entering the emergency number. Despite the girl's beauty, she might be a serial killer for all I know. 

 

"This is an emergency. Let's just do the introductions later. We need to put the countermeasures before your 'light' shines. And for your information, I am not a ing serial killer. Stop fiddling on your phone." She calmly said far from the hysterical her awhile ago. How did she know what I am thinking? She started heading to my small room and asked me to follow her. Heol! Doesn't she know she's trespassing?

 

Before she actually opened my door, a whooshing sound suddenly broke the night's silence. She looked alerted and I started looking for the origin of the sound. I deafening sound that resembles that of an explosion was heard only there is no explosion but a man standing few meters away from me.

Let me just recount this. First, after wearing the weird ring a prank call came. Then, a red-haired and trouser-less girl appeared out of nowhere and started blabbing about s I don't understand and most recently, a man wearing thick clothes on summer landed on my rooftop place. I repeat LANDED. He came from above seemingly he jumped off from something uuuuup there and landed safely on two feet. I am giving myself permission to go on a crazy episode.

 

WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING???????

WHO ARE THIS PEOPLE????

ARE THEY PLANNING A MURDER SCHEME????

WHY ARE THEY ON MY HOUSE????

I was having a shouting extravaganza inside my head when the strange man spoke.

 

"Not so fast Bom." The man said while smirking.

 

"She is still off-limits. Go have fun somewhere else." The girl, whose name is Bom, said with a deadpan expression.

 

"Do your job fast. The Runners you are handling are always fun to play with. See you later, Sandara Park." He knows me? With that he just AGAIN jump uuuuup there and disappeared from sight. My mind is spinning.

 

W.H.A.T. I.S H.A.P.P.E.N.I.N.G?????

 

"You! If you don't want to lose your life, come inside. We have a lot of work. I am a Guardian. And just so you have a bit of knowledge you just joined the most notorious hunting game ever recorded. Kill or be killed." She said as the door closed behind her.

 

I stood there frozen. Wow! What a dream! Wake up now Dara. That's enough. I convinced myself that this is just a dream, an imagination.

 

 

Only, the elegant looking ring I am wearing started emanating a faint light. I rushed to my room to interrogate talk to the trespasser trouserless girl.
