First Meeting

You're My Hope, J-Hope!

Kim Miyeon's POV

"Why are there so many choices...?"

As a coffee fanatic, I've always had a hard time deciding on what to order. Everything that had coffee in it tasted amazing in my opinion.

As usual, the long line in front of me began to shorten as I found myself coming nearer to the ordering counter. Before I could make up my mind, I found myself the next one to order. Thinking fast, I just chose the first thing that caught my eye.

"Umm... Can I have a Mocha Iced Coffee?"

Wincing, I then mentally facepalmed myself at how boring that was.

After paying, I then moved onto the side for the next person to order.

As soon as my order was called out, I immediately stepped toward the counter to take my drink. It was a bad day, and just one sip of this sweet drink could change that. Smiling happilly to myself as I turned around, I didn't realize there was a person standing right behind me.

"Oh!" I exclaimed as I bumped into him.

I  watched in horror as my drink slipped out from my loose grasp and splash all over the hardwood floor.

"Oh my goodness! I am so sorry! Here, let me clean this up for you!" The boy said as he rushed to take a handful of napkins from the counter and run back to wipe up the sweetened mess that was splattered on the floor. With an empty feeling, I took a few napkins and began to help him clean up the mess.

After everything was clean again, the boy straightened up and I did the same.

"I'm really sorry again about what happened... If I can make it up to you, I can give you my drink..." he said as he gestured toward the lonely drink on the counter above. I just shook my head.

"Nahh, that's ok. I should really look behind me before I turn around like that. It's my fault. Thank you for helping me clean up though. Besides... I'm not doing anything today, so I'll just stand in line again." I said, trying my best not to meet his eyes. The boy gave a sigh and shook his head.

"I'm still feeling guilty though. How about I buy you another drink? Then we'll be even."

I couldn't help but look up to tell this guy that it was really alright, but a pair of dark brown eyes changed everything. The words that I were going to say was stuck in my throat as I my eyes began to widen.

This guy has really nice eyes...

The boy stared back as well, although I couldn't really tell what expression he had because half of his face was covered with a flu-mask.

"Come here. I have some free time as well." he said as he gently took my hand and led me back to the long line.

Jung Hoseok's POV

"Why are there so many choices...?"

I couldn't help but smile a little as I heard the girl in front of me talk a little to herself. It was my first time coming to a coffee cafe like this and I could understand her dilemma. There were too many choices to choose from.

I squinted as I looked up at the black board ahead to try and narrow down what I wanted to order.

After picking a simple iced caramel coffee drink, I then looked around warily. It was risky for me to come to such a popular cafe like this, but for some reason, it really caught my eye today, and I was suddenly in the mood for coffee. I normally didn't do risky things like this, but today, for some odd reason, I really wanted my coffee.

After a few minutes, it was my turn to order. I let out a sigh of relief as the worker didn't know who I was.

After placing my order, I then took out my phone and began walking off to the side to wait for my drink to be ready.

I frowned as I saw that I had one new message.

Hoseok. Where are you? You know the manager only gave us one hour of free time. Hurry back. >:O

- Your Leader

I frowned as I began to type back.

"Oh!"

I looked up in surprise to see the girl from before walk right into me and stumble backwards, causing her to drop her drink.

I felt myself feel panicked at the situation and exclaim a bunch of words in appology as I realized what had just happened.

"Oh my goodness! I am so sorry! Here, let me clean this up for you!"

I quickly pocketed my phone and hurried over to the counter and came back with a fist full of paper napkins. I hung my head down low out of embarrasment.

Stupid! How could you not look where you were going?!?!

After we both cleaned up the mess, I quickly stood up and she quickly did the same. I felt a rush of guilt as I saw her avoid my eyes.

"I'm really sorry again about what happened... If I can make it up to you, I can give you my drink..." I said as I pointed to my drink that was ready on the counter. The girl shook her head and I bit my lip.

"Nahh, that's ok. I should really look behind me before I turn around like that. It's my fault. Thank you for helping me clean up though. Besides... I'm not doing anything today, so I'll just stand in line again."

I gave a small sigh and shook my head.

"I'm still feeling guilty though. How about I buy you another drink? Then we'll be even." I pleaded. She then looked up and I felt my heart begin to beat a little faster.

Wow, she's really cute...

I mentally slapped myself as I realized that I was just staring at her without a word. Pulling myself together, I coolly took her hand and began leading her back into the line. I couldn't help but blush as I realized how rashly I acted. Words began to slip out of my mouth before I even realized what I was actually saying.

"Come here. I have free time as well."
