Of everything that could and had ever happen in Joohyun's already unpleasantly angst life, having a best friend who understood her without the need to speak her mind was all she needed, all she ever wanted. That friendship is precariously pushed to its very edge however, when an unwanted figure in the body of a vexatious teenage of male descent, in other words, Byun Baekhyun, forces his way into her life, twisting it in all ways imaginable.

This was only the beginning however, as another figure of relation has already began his plotting against the Kim's household behind everyone's back, plastering a façade of a sincere father and fooling all those around him. His manipulative powers and corrupted connections were able to hide a perfectly shaped crime - the sudden and mysterious death of Joohyun's mother. What they did not know was the fact that this assassination was connected to all of them… especially when that man was determined to ensure everyone - including his own Joohyun, to give back the power originally belonging to him.

Being caught up in such a cleverly constructed trap, Joohyun was sure to fall victim as the one in line of direct impact from those around her.
