INT. LENA’S BEDROOM - CONTINUOUS

Lena wasn’t at all sure what was thrown out of the window.
It was already too late when she realizes that it was her
underwear that was thrown out to the serenaders.

LENA
Lola... ko po ba iyong tinapon
niyo?

DONA CONSUELO
Oo Lena, eh. Pasensya ka na, iha...nag-panic kasi
ang lola mo.

LENA
Lola, sana tuwalya na lang...o kaya
bedsheet...

DONA CONSUELO
Kasi naman, apo...mukhang paalis na
sila...eh, nakita ko iyon sa drawer
mo...kaya ayun...tinapon ko...

LENA
Lola naman eh...paano na ngayon
iyan...ano kaya ang iisipin ni Enzo
niyan?

DONA CONSUELO
Okay lang yung, Lena. Malinis naman siguro yun, anak di ba?

LENA
Lola naman eh...eto na nga, halos
maiyak na nga ako dito sa
kahihiyan...nanloloko pa! Malinis kaya yun, bagong laba...

DONA CONSUELO
Pasensya na talaga Lena...na-excite
lang kasi ako ng husto...

LENA
Paano na ngayon yan, Lola? Anong
gagawin ko?

DONA CONSUELO
Naku, Lena...kailangan nating
lumabas...

LENA
Ayoko ko kaya Lola...nakakahiya
sobra...

DONA CONSUELO
Naku anak, ang mga naghaharana
kailangan pakitunguhan ng
mabuti...sayang naman ang effort
nilang kantahan ka...

LENA
Lola naman, pinapa-guilty niyo
naman ako...

DONA CONSUELO
Sige na,iha, halika na...lumabas na
tayo...sigurado akong hinihintay ka
na nila.

Lena stands up from her bed, quite unsure of what she was to do. She wanted to protest but Dona Consuelo won’t hear any
of it. The old lady eventually took Lena’s hand and brought
her out of the room.

INT. LIVING ROOM - CONTINUOUS

As what Lena feared might have happened...the moment she
stepped into the sala, she was faced with the mischievous
faces of Julio, Enzo and Don Ignacio.

DONA CONSUELO
Ignacio, halika tulungan mo ako
dito sa kusina. Prepare tayo ng
merienda...

LENA
Lola sandali...

DON IGNACIO
(to Enzo)
O, iho, maiwan muna namin kayo
dito...tandaan mo yung sinabi ko sa
iyo ha...

ENZO
Opo Lolo...

LENA
Lolo sandali lang...

DONA CONSUELO
Ignacio, ano ka ba? Ang bagalbagal
mong matanda ka...

Dona Consuelo exits.

DON IGNACIO
Sandali, lang, kita mong
kinukundisyon ko pa itong manok ko
eh...mainipin naman itong si babes ko.

All three kids laugh. Don Ignacio exits as well,

JULIO
Ah, senyorito Enzo...senyorita
Lena...alis na rin po ako, maaga pa
ho ako bukas...sasamahan ko sina
Tinay sa bayan...

LENA
Julio...huwag mo kaming iwan...

Julio exits, not minding Lena’s plea. Lena and Enzo are now
alone in the living room.

ENZO
Ba’t ayaw mong maiwan kasama
ako...hindi naman ako nangangain ng
tao ah?

LENA
Nangangain hindi...nangangagat, oo.
Basta...naiinis ako sa iyo...

ENZO
Akala ko ba, pinapatawad mo na ako?

LENA
Sinong may sabi sa iyo niyan, aber?

ENZO
Di ba nga binigay mo na sa akin
to...
(pulling out Lena’s undies)
So, ibig sabihin...love mo na ako
ulit...

LENA
Hindi kaya, si Lola ang nagtapon
niyan...

ENZO
Hindi naman to itatapon ni Lola
kung walang blessings mo di ba?

LENA
Akin na nga yan...

ENZO
Ay naku Lena, di ko sasauli
to...remembrance ko to kaya...

LENA
Bastos! Akin na nga iyan...

ENZO
Binigay mo na, di ba? Ba’t ko pa
ibabalik sa iyo.

Enzo places the in his pocket. Lena struggles to get
it back from him. She then pounces on Enzo’s arm.

ENZO
Aray! Lena...masakit na iyan...

LENA
Ano ka ba? Akin na sabi iyan eh...

ENZO
Sumusobra ka na...pag ako napikon
hahalikan kita...

LENA
Akin na nga eh...

Lena continues to punch him.

ENZO
Uuuyyy...gusto niyang halikan ko
siya...

LENA
Hindi uy...subukan mo lang halikan
ako at tutuklapin ko yang panga mo...

ENZO
Napaka-brutal mo naman Lena, eh,
lang to...
(pulls out and inspects the once more)
Ang cute oh...may print pang
rabbits at carrots..

LENA
Ano ba? akin na nga yang ko...

ENZO
Ayoko ko kaya...alam mo kung ano ang gagawin
ko dito?

LENA

ENZO
Ifi-frame ko to...tapos lalagyan ko

LENA

Hoy, baka marinig ka ni Tinay...

LENA

hindi mo ibabalik yang

ENZO

isang kondisyon...

LENA
Ano iyon?

ENZO
Patawarin mo na ako...kung ano man
ang naging kasalanan ko...which,
hanggang ngayon, di ko pa rin alam
kung ano...

LENA
Sige na nga...pinapatawad na kita...

ENZO
Ayan...smile ka muna...

Lena gave him a sardonic smile...

ENZO
Teka, kulang eh...hug pa...

LENA
Sumusobra ka na, ah!

Enzo once again twirls the undearwear above his head.

ENZO
Gusto ko may hug...

Lena moves closer slowly and gave him a quick hug...

ENZO
Kiss pa sa cheeks...

LENA
Ayoko nga...

ENZO
Lena...imaginine mo na lang na yung
mo, ife-frame ko...tapos
ilalagay ko siya sa headboard
ko...para kita ng lahat kung gaano
mo ako kamahal...

LENA

ENZO

Lena moves over and kiss him on the cheeks.

Enzo still doesn’t give her the .

LENA
Ayan ha...pinatawad na kita, may
kiss na, may hug pa...so, ibalik mo
na ang ko...

ENZO
One last...

LENA
Ano na naman to? Gusto mo ibigay
ko na ang kaluluwa ko?

ENZO
Hindi naman...pumayag ka nang
makipag-date sa akin sa akin...bukas!

LENA
Yun lang pala, eh! Saan mo gusto?

ENZO
Talaga? Seryoso ka?

LENA
OO naman...saan tayo magde-date
mister? Ha?

ENZO
Surprise ko na lang iyon...

LENA
Aber...asaan na ang ko at
makatulog na rin ako...

Enzo pulls out the scanty underwear from his pocket. Lena
immediately grabs it from him.

ENZO
Salamat Lena...
(smiling sheepishly)

LENA
(sarcastic)
Iba ka talaga ano? Nagawa mo pang
tumawa, eh, halos mamatay na nga
ako sa kahihiyan...

ENZO
Di bale, Lena...balang araw, di ko
na kailangan sungkitin pa yang
mo...buong loob mo na siyang
ibibigay sa akin...

LENA
Bastos!

Lena turns around and walks off towards her bedroom.

Enzo was left smiling like an idiot. Lolo Ignacio, earlier,
described to a T how Lena will possibly be reacting to his
antics. The elder gentleman, gave him tips what to say back
to her. Enzo could not believe that their plan worked like
a charm.

INT. LIVING ROOM - MORNING AFTER

Back in old Manila...A hand is seen flipping the day’s paper...

It was the morning after. The sun was shedding her first
rays of the day. The wealthy couple was already up by this
time...their day starts early. Together, they sipped coffee
and read the day’s headlines.

They were Mr. and Mrs. Alvarez...Mr. Alfonso and Mrs. Elvira
Alvarez to be exact...Enzo’s parents.

Their day would have been otherwise routine, until they
stumble upon a picture on the society column of the national
broadsheet.

ELVIRA
Look at this, honey...

ALFONSO
Who is that?...Is that the girl
Janna called about the other day?

ELVIRA
Yes...I guess so. Tingnan mo, she
is with Mama and Papa...

ALFONSO
Well, she is a pretty young girl.
It says here her name is Lena...and
that her whole family died in that
boat tragedy a couple months
back...kawawa naman!

ELVIRA
Honey...I think we need to meet her...

ALFONSO
Do you think kailangan nating
pumunta sa San Nicolas?

ELVIRA
I really do think so, honey..

ALFONSO
Okay, sige...I‘ll cancel all of my
appointments today...

ELVIRA
How fast can we get there?

ALFONSO
If we leave soon and go by chopper
to Iloilo...we’ll get there by this
evening.

ELVIRA
Sige...I’ll pack our bags...do you
think we should call them...kahit
si Enzo man lang, at least...

ALFONSO
Huwag na... let‘s just surprise them...

EXT. BREAKFAST TABLE - SAME TIME

The elder couple, upon walking downstairs, were so surprised to see
their meals ready. What surprised them more were seeing Enzo
and Lena in good terms and in cheerful spirit...

ENZO
Surprise! Kami ni Lena ang nagluto
nito!

DON IGNACIO
Ba’t kayo ang nagluto? Nasaan sina
Minda at Tinay...

ENZO
Kasi po Lolo...dinala po ni Nanay
Minda si Tinay sa duktor sa
bayan...mamayang hapon pa po ang
balik nila. Kaya kami na ni Lena
ang nagluto...

DONA CONSUELO
Ignacio, tingnan mo ang handa ng
mga bata...ang dami!

LENA
Tsaka po, healthy po iyang hinanda
naming breakfast. Fruits po at
cereals...mainam po talaga sa
katawan iyan...

DON IGNACIO
Teka...ba’t parang ang sweet niyo
na sa isa’ isa...bati na ba talaga
kayo?

LENA
Oo naman, lolo. Nagka-usap na po
kami. DI na daw niya po ako kukulitin...

ENZO
Ang sabihin mo...di mo talaga ako
matiis!

LENA
Anong hindi matiis?...eh ikaw nga
diyan yung parang tutang sipunin na
nagmamakaawa eh..."Lena, please
patawarin mo na ako...parang awa mo
na...hirap na hirap na kaya ako..."

ENZO
Hindi kaya ganyan! Basta...ang bottom
line diyan, bati na tayo kasi mahal
mo talaga ako...

LENA
Hoy, ikaw ha...nakakahiya ka na...

ENZO
Ano namang nakakahiya dun? Mahal
kita, alam naman nina lolo’t lola
yun...at siyempre, mahal mo din
ako...alam naman din nila iyon...

LENA
Eh basta...

DONA CONSUELO
Ay naku apo, tama na iyang pangaasar
kay Lena, baka mag-away na
naman uli kayo...

DON IGNACIO
Oo nga naman apo. Siyempre
dalagang Pilipina yang si
Lena...siyempre itatago niyan ang
deepest feelings niya...part yan ng
pagiging mahinhin...

ENZO
Ganon ho ba iyon?

DONA CONSUELO
Tama ang Lolo mo, iho. Kaya si
Lena, lubayan mo na...enough na
iyong ipakita niya na lang sa iyo
kung gaano ka niya kamahal...

LENA
Mahinhin naman talaga ako ah...

ENZO
Mahinhin ba iyang halos mabali na
ang kamay ko sa suntok?

LENA
Ang kulit mo kasi...eh...

ENZO
Alam niyo lolo at lola, etong si
Lena, may pagka-amazona pag nagagalit...

LENA
Ayan ka na naman, kukulitin mo na
naman ako...

ENZO
O sige na...sige na...di na kita
kukulitin.

DONA CONSUELO
Nakakatuwa kayong dalawa, para
kayong aso’t pusa!

DON IGNACIO
Hay naku...young love nga naman!

The couple looks fondly at the younger pair.

DON IGNACIO
Mukhang bihis kayo ah? Saan naman ang lakad ninyong dalawa ngayon?

ENZO
Surprise ko po kay Lena kung saan
kami pupunta ngayon!

LENA
Ayaw niya nga hong sabihin...

ENZO
Surprise nga eh...siyempre, di na surprise
yun kung sasabihin ko...

DON IGNACIO
Basta, apo, bumalik kayo ng maaga
ha? May inihandang hapunan ang
Lola mo...

ENZO
Sige po, Lolo.

EXT. MACABRE ISLAND - A FEW HOURS LATER

Lena steps off the motor boat blindfolded. As she removed the hankerchief covering her eyes, she was surprised
to see a small picnic blanket was set up on the familiar
beach. Enzo had arranged it himself.

LENA
Enzo, seryoso ka? Ba’t tayo
bumalik dito?

ENZO
Siyempre, dito yung original scene
of the crime...

LENA
Anong scene of the crime?

ENZO
Siyempre, dito ko unang natikman
yang matatamis mong labi...

LENA
Kelan ka pa naging makata?

ENZO
Impluwensiya to ni Lolo...ha ha ha..

LENA
Pero, Enzo, di ka pa ba
nadadala...hindi parang dini-dare
mo pa kalikasan sa pagbalik natin dito?

ENZO
OO...totoo yun Lena. In fact, I’m
tempting fate...dini-dare ko ang
mga bathala dito sa islang
ito...sige, i-stranded nila uli
tayo dito para masaya!

LENA
Ano ka ba? Ayoko nga?

ENZO
Ayaw mo nun Lena, solong-solo mo na
ako...

LENA
Loko-loko ka talaga...halika na
nga...kumain na tayo.

EXT. MACABRE ISLAND - A FEW HOURS LATER

The rest of the day they spent exploring the expansive
shoreline of the island. The sun was shining in its full glory.

Lena would pick up shells while Enzo was busy taking
pictures of her.

After lunch, they spent the afternoon frolicking in the warm
waters and building sandcastles by the beach.

ENZO
(pointing to his castle)
Eto Lena, ito yung magiging palasyo
natin...dito kita ititira pag kasal
na tayo...

LENA
Ano ka ba, kakasagot ko lang sa
iyo...kasal na kaagad?

ENZO
Huwag mong sabihin na di pumasok sa
isip mo iyon?

LENA
Mrs. Lena Alvarez...hmmm...pwede na...

ENZO
Seriously, Lena...ganun kita
kamahal...I’ve never felt this sure in
my life...

Lena could not answer. The love she sees swirling in Enzo’s
eyes is enough confirmation for her.

But as the tide rose, it crumbles the castle Enzo built.

LENA
Ay nasira...

ENZO
Don’t worry...gawa ulit ako...kahit
ilan gagawin ko...

Lena noticed how easy did his dream castle crumble with the rushing tide. She ultimately wondered if his love for her was the same...considering how it was built in the same lousy foundation.

Lena then remembers all the lies she has told him. It made her
heart tremble. It made her realize that Enzo probably loves
the Lena he thought he knew. Will he still love her if he
knew who she really was?

EXT. MACABRE ISLAND - LATE AFTERNOON

Lena and Enzo are packing their bags to head back home.

The tides are starting to rise. Enzo pulls the chain to
start the boat’s engine. The engine whirred but then died.
He tried a couple times, but same thing happened.

He cursed under his breath.

LENA
Enzo, may problema ba?

ENZO
Sh*t Lena...ayaw mag-start ng makina...

LENA
Ikaw kasi eh...kinukutya mo pa
kanina ang mga bathala dito...ayan,
pinaparusahan tayo.

The sky begins to darken, dark clouds loomed the afternoon
sky. It was as if they converged into the island just for
them. Enzo, tried several times to get the engine going.
Soon enough, heavy droplets fell.

LENA
Enzo, tama na iyan...

ENZO
Hindi, kaya pa to...

LENA
Halika na sa kubo, mahirap na ring
mag-biyahe sa ganitong panahon...

ENZO
Sige, pero dalhin natin yung mga
pagkain at tubig...

They each carry their picnic basket and their bags and ran
towards the rundown shack they once cohabited.

INT. BAHAY KUBO - CONTINUOUS

The couple finally reaches the shanty. They were already wet to the
bone. Enzo, pulled out some matches from his bag and lit
the gasera on the table. It was almost dark.

LENA
Ayan kasi...may pa dare-dare ka
pang nalalaman...ayan
tuloy...pinarusahan tayo!

ENZO
Anong parusa...this is the best
thing that could have happened to me!

Enzo’s eyes were glinting mischievously. Lena was taken aback.

LENA
Enzo, ano naman yang nasa isip mo ha?

ENZO
Lena, di ba ang sabi nila ang isla
na to, brings out the truth in
everyone?

LENA
(gulps)
So...ano naman ngayon...

ENZO
Matanong nga kita...

Enzo moves a step towards her. Languidly, like a tiger about to pounce.

LENA
Ano yun?

ENZO
May pagnanasa ka ba sa akin?

LENA
Loko-loko!

Enzo moves even closer. Lena’s heart beats faster. Enzo was now
only a few inches away...

ENZO
Sabihin mo nga sa akin, Lena...mahal mo
ba ako?

LENA
OO naman...hindi ko naman dineny
yun di ba?

Enzo cups Lena’s face...

ENZO
Lena, hahalikan na kita...any last
words?

LENA
Ano ba...para naman akong isi-silya
elektrika niyan...

ENZO
Nice analogy...pero Lena, oo...kukuryentihin ko yang buong katawan
mo...

LENA
Halika na nga...dami mo pang satsat...

Lena grabs Enzo’s head and plants a deep kiss on him. For a moment,
Enzo struggled to keep up with Lena’s sudden display of passion.

Their kisses grew aggressive. Enzo, was now wantonly
exploring Lena’s body under her wet clothes.

Lena shedded all her inhibitions as well. She too was
brazenly letting her hands knead his contoured torso. She couldn't help herself. She kissed him on the neck, his nape, his chest...

Enzo took a moment to take in her innate beauty. Her wet clothes clung seductively to her lithe body. God! He imagined how she will be even more beautiful in her raw skin...He let his hand trace her body from her face down to her belly button. All the while, she was looking at him longingly...

As they took another kiss, this time, it was more searing than before. It was as if the hunger they bore from one another was finally being relieved for the first time.

Soon enough, their passion grew to fever pitch intensity. Still not breaking the
contact of their lips, Enzo led Lena onto the lone table in
the house. There, on top of the table, Enzo pinned down Lena.

Enzo hastily removed his wet shirt and his pants. His body
was glistening in its youthful beauty. Lena, slowly peeled
her clothes away. She too was down to her last defensive
stance...

Enzo hooked his hands on her underwear.

ENZO
Lena, sure ka ba?...once we do this,
there is no turning back...

Lena, out of breath, thought for a minute.

LENA
Enzo, sandali lang...

ENZO
It’s your decision Lena...

LENA
Hindi ko pa ata kaya...hindi pa ako
handa...

Enzo heaved a heavy sigh.

ENZO
Sige, Lena...maghihintay ako...

LENA
Salamat Enzo...bata pa naman tayo,
di ba...madami pang pagkakataon...

ENZO
I am looking forward to that, Lena...

Enzo moves away from her, hastily picking up his clothes, as well as hers.

LENA
(touching her raw lips)
Teka, sandali...

ENZO
O ano, bakit?

LENA
Magbibihis ka na?

ENZO
OO, bakit?

LENA
Ah ganon ba?

Seeing the indecision in Lena’s eyes, Enzo immediately acts
upon it. He literally jumps back to the top of the
table and once again kisses Lena.

At least, this time, he
knew what his limits were. And he is going to honor that.

But kisses still flowed like sweet honey...

ENZO
This is just the prelude to the
future Lena.

More kisses ensued...

LENA
Eto na lang muna, Enzo...saka na
yung...

Lena cut her sentence short...gasping for more air.

ENZO
? It doesn’t have to be a dirty
word Lena...

LENA
Sige, Enzo...saka na tayo...mag-...

ENZO
Lena...you make it sound so damn
...

Lena smiles sheepishly. Enzo laughs. He was glad they could both be romantic and funny at the same time.

But more...deep searing kisses followed...

Soon enough, they were fully
disrobed.

LENA
Pwede na to...matinding halikan na
lang muna...

ENZO
Anong matindi? Umaatikabong halikan, Lena,
umaatikabo...

As the night faded away, Lena and Enzo, with their bodies brushing past one another, ignited a passion as old as time itself. Yet, they tempered it with only kisses as a means to quench that yearning thirst.

What they didn’t realize though, was what they did was
actually more powerful than . The intimacy they shared that night was
more sensual than the actual union of the bodies...

That magical evening...their hearts and minds made love for
