Our hands fidgeted, as the glow took us. This is what we always wanted. We worked hard for this. 

And then I woke, panting. Sweat dribbled down my face. Why was I even dreaming about it? Our powers? This curse on us? We can't ever get rid of it. We will never live in peace again. Then I look at what my fingers had just done. Cinders lay on my wall. It shriveled up and was absorbed by my inflammable room. Sure it could reduce burns, but not sound. 

"Fany? What happened?" My best friend, Taeyeon crept into my room. 

"I- it's fine, Tae. Go back to sleep."

I lay back down and my eyes close in fatigue. What was I thinking? This curse we all have, it can't be cured. Even if it could be, it can't cure all nine of us. Especially not me.
