April 12th, 1950 Seoul, Korea

In June 1949, the american troups was pulled back from Korea, leaving the Korean army relatively illequiped. Both of the two Korean parts (the communists and the anti-communists) claimed to be the "rightful" leader of the reunited Korea, but none of them ever agreed, which later led to a horrifying war.

But this story is going to be about Seok Sun Hi, an ordinary girl living in Seoul with her family. The worrysome conflicts between the South and the North makes it hard for Sun Hi's dad to earn a living for the family, but the money are just enough for food on the table and a roof above their heads; more than most families have.

Sun Hi's story begins when she sees a mysterious boy in the local bakery. But who is he? Why does he seem like he is carrying a dark secret?

And what is going to happen when Sun Hi's world is pushed over the border, making her choose where her real loyality lies?

And during the moment of misery and lamentation, Sun Hi seeks peace in her dreams of paradise.
