"So... what do you think?", he asked when the song ended. "Not bad, I love it,", I wasn't lying.  If he was asking about the song, I truly love it. I knew his agenda though. He was trying to confess to me his feelings. But through a song..? He shrugged and puts his hand on his face in an attempt to regain his composure. "Krystal Jung, will you be my girlfriend?", was what I wanted to hear. Those exact words from his mouth. Not through a song... is it that hard to be straightforward? Then again, it’s too corny it makes me cringe. But he did nothing besides that. Instead, he gave up. "I thought you'll like it too, that's why I recommended it to you," Seriously Kang Min Hyuk? I was ready to say yes.

I was disappointed that we aren’t anything official yet. The last time I tried to confess to her I so badly. I don’t know if she was deliberately being oblivious or the message wasn’t clear enough for her. I am secretly ashamed of my guts, I knew I should have just seized the opportunity and said it straight to her face submissively, “You. I want you to be mine,”.  Ah, I wish. I wasn’t that kind of guy. I guess I should really heed Yonghwa hyung’s advice and get some manliness.

“So what do you think?” disrupted Krystal Jung as I was too delved into my own thoughts. “Yes, that sounds great!” I responded. I figured those were the words she wanted to hear and I was trying not to make myself appear rude that I really wasn’t listening. “Ok then, you should make a left turn into that alley. There’s a convenience store there,” I nodded at her instruction despite not knowing why we are heading there in the first place.

I let her take the lead as we approached the convenience store at the corner street by Cheongdamdong. We didn’t have to worry about running into anyone because there was practically no one there. There were many other convenience stores around the area that is more convenient to patronize. Krystal made her way straight to the refrigerated area. I watched her eyes scan through the array of bottled, boxed and canned drinks. She subconsciously bit her lips as she pointed her index finger to the shelved drinks, trying to locate a particular one.  She wasn’t looking at me at all, but I somehow found my pulse gradually increasing. It’s been a long time since I felt this way towards anyone.  

“Here, help me hold this,” She passed me six bottles of white sojus and grabbed another six bottles of makgeolli along with a carton of Cass beers. “Isn’t this a bit too much?” “Aniaaa, there’ll be five of us anyway,” retorted Krystal in refuge. I didn’t know we were here to get alcohol. Bad move, Kang Min Hyuk.

“Wait, I won’t let you go in like this,” halted Min Hyuk as we got off the lift. He puts down the plastic bags containing the alcohol we bought earlier. I watched him as he s the buttons on his dark grey, wool cardigan. He was wearing a tight white t-shirt underneath. Taking off his outerwear, he bared his beautifully sculpted guns- the arms of a well-trained drummer. I inhaled the familiar musky scent as he leaned in towards me, placing the cardigan around my waist. He tied a knot and let it cover my thighs before looking up to meet my gaze. His eyes disappeared as he smiled, “Ok we’re good to go,”

The CNBLUE dorm showed no evidence that it housed four boys. Besides the uncontrollable mess of shoes at the entrance of the door, it was really clean. “Wow wow wow! Our long awaited guest is here!” greeted Lee Jong Hyun. I laughed at his excitement and offered a bow, “Annyeong oppa, nice to meet you,”. “You know, I’m a big fan of yours. You’re really pret..” Min Hyuk shoved the plastic bags into his face before he manage to finish his sentence, “Hyung, please help me bring this to the dining table,” I sensed jealousy in his order, the kind of jealousy Lee Bona feels towards Chan Eun Sang and Yoon Chan Young’s friendship. I couldn’t help but grin.

We were at the CNBLUE dorm to celebrate our win for Drama Fever’s Best Couple award. The CNBLUE members had invited me over because they said occasions like these should be celebrated. To be honest, I didn’t expect the win at all since we were contested against popular actors and actresses. Furthermore, we weren’t even the main couple. I was happy though, with how supportive Min Hyuk’s band members were, so I willingly agreed to the invite.

Over at the dining table, everyone was enjoying the grilled meat prepared by Jung Shin. Oddly, Krystal’s presence in the CNBLUE’s residence isn’t the least awkward. There wasn’t any silent moment and our dorm has never been that lively since a long while. Krystal hit off really well with the hyungs and Jung Shin, taking turns at cracking jokes like it wasn’t the first time they hung out together. I think the light Cass beer they were having played a part too. I barely touched mine. I was a poor drinker who can get drunk at three cans of beer. I wouldn’t mind getting drunk with the members but I can’t risk throwing my feelings around in front of Krystal Jung. By the end of our dinner, they already made their own inside jokes about me. I should be angry at that, but on the flip side, I was actually glad.

“No celebration should end without toasting sojus and makgeolli!” declared Krystal as she started pouring soju shots for everyone. Everyone except me cheered in delight, ready to down the shots. “First, let’s see the winning couple do a love shot!” requested Jong Hyun hyung. I almost spat out the water in my mouth when I heard that. This is exactly why I didn’t want to even introduce him to Krystal. When he feels like it, he is naturally playful. He can be really cheeky when he wants to. The truth is, his serious face is a façade.

I couldn’t remember what happened after three shots of sojus. I became uncontainable and drank more than I had intended. It didn’t took long for everyone to get to that stage where every little thing is funny.

Jung Shin and Jonghyun oppa were fast asleep on the couch. It was funny seeing Jung Shin cradling Jonghyun in his arms after a dinner of constant bickering between the two. We didn’t exactly drink that much but it was enough for the two members to get drunk. I wasn’t anywhere near being drunk, just a little high. I drank often enough with Sica unnie to contain my alcohol well. Min Hyuk on the other hand, was so high he was lying on my shoulder openly infront of Yonghwa oppa. I haven’t seen his face this red before. It wasn’t exactly red red, but it was flustered enough to tell that he isn’t really sane.

“You. You are mine,” said Min Hyuk out of nowhere. He wasn’t lying on my shoulder anymore. He was comfortably snuggling on my legs now. Yonghwa oppa chortled at his dongsaeng, “He says the truth when he drinks. I think he really meant that you belong to him,” I could tell he’s the best drinker out of the lot, he was still as sober as how we first started drinking.

“Yah hyung, don’t talk to my girlfriend without my permission,” interrupted Min Hyuk. I giggled at his remark. My girlfriend. He have no idea how cute he was being.

“I’ll let you guys be alone,” said Yonghwa as he left Min Hyuk’s room, sneaking a wink before shutting the door behind him. How considerate.
