ShadowIt's been months since that day that I dreamed of Minho saying that he likes me. It's been months since that day that I felt awkward being around him. But everything changed when..
"Ah, Manager-nim" I answered my manager's call
"Yes, hello, Sulli" He replied. "You have a new project!"
"Oh! Really? With who?"
"Minho"
"Oh, I'm looking forward to it, Manager-nim"
I lied to my Manager. I don't even know how to feel comfortable around him. For a couple of months now, I've been trying to distance myself from him but it was no use. The fact that I am head over heels for Minho still remains.
----
"Annyeong haseyo" I happily greeted the staff.
"Annyeong haseyo, Sulli-ssi. Please take a seat and we will start with the script reading in just a moment" The director stated.
I was about to take a seat when a familiar deep voice surrounded the room.
"Annyeong haseyo"
I turned around to see who the man was.
"Ah, Manager-nim. I'm here" I exclaimed
It was my manager. My manager announced that Minho won't be around today because of some personal matters. I don't know if I should be thankful that Minho will not be here today or to worry because he's always present at times like these. I let out a deep sigh to express the confusion that I feel.
"Okay, we'll reschedule the script reading" The director proclaimed.
"Um, Sulli, do you want to have coffee?" My manager asked me.
"Sure, sure" I instantly replied.
We decided to grab coffee before going home. While we were on our way, there's nothing in my mind except for Minho. Without any hesitations, I asked my manager the question that I know I shouldn't ask.
"Ah, Manager-nim, what happened to Minho oppa?" I asked.
He didn't give an answer. I hesitated to repeat the question because a part of me knew that I should not give any interest.
We reached the nearest coffee shop and we talked about my new project there. We spent a couple of hours inside the coffee shop.
"Uh, Sulli, can you manage to go home alone?" He asked me. "I have to visit my mom in the hospital."
"Yes, I can, manager-nim. Don't worry about me, family should always come first" I replied.
"Thank you, Sulli, I'm going now. See you tomorrow"
I decided to walk my way home.
---
While I was walking, I felt the cool Korean breeze get under my skin. I crossed my arms to keep myself warm but that didn't help. Luckily, someone was nice enough to lend me a jacket. I was about to face that person and say thanks but I got interrupted.
"Why are you walking alone?"
It was Minho. He always comes at an unexpected moment.
"I'm walking alone because I like to. Why are you here?" I replied.
"Nothing, I had dinner with my high school friends at a restaurant nearby"
"So is that why you didn't go to the script reading?"
"Uh......yes." "Can I bring you home?" Minho continued.
"Ummm" I uttered.
"I won't take no for an answer" He said and then he giggled.
I felt really awkward while we we're walking. Thank God, Minho decided to break the piercing silence.
"Um, Sulli-ssi, I want to ask you a question" He asked me.
It was really nerve-racking to hear those words from him but I instantly replied to what he said.
"Huh? What is it? Do we have an unfinished business or something?"
He laughed and said, "No, it's not that. I wanted to ask you if...um...if you..."
"YA! CHOI JINRI!" A familiar voice exclaimed.
It was Amber. Who was walking alone too. Amber ran towards us and immediately pulled me, leaving Minho alone. Amber shouted, "Sorry, oppa."
Perfect, just perfect, Amber interrupted the moment and I didn't even know what Minho's question was.
