I Cannot Believe It II

Description

This is a one-shot, continuation of the previous fanfic - I Cannot Believe It

Foreword

It’s been awhile since Yoona has dated Seohyun. Approximately 3 months. Yoona would always take Seohyun out on dates.

Well, not the typical movie dates where couples cuddle together in couple seats, eating popcorn and go home afterwards. Neither was it dates where you go to high places like mountains to look out far into the city, or low places like beaches to look at sunrises or sunsets. Nope.

It was dates which Yoona and Seohyun would eat lunch together. In a restaurant or cafe. Chatting. Yes, chatting makes people closer. Understand more of each other, and enjoy each other’s company.

Food makes people happy as well. Have you forgotten the millions of people in hunger? Being fortunate enough to eat makes people happy. Of course, including that the food is delicious.

Yoona thought lunch dates are perfect. Seohyun didn’t mind much since she gets to taste different food at different cafes and restaurants. Besides, they get to have conversations casually and also, without their friends as spectators. Just the two of them. Perfect.

So there was this fine day, Yoona brought Seohyun outside of the institute for lunch again.

(Seohyun’s Point of View)

*vibrates* *vibrates*
Huh? A message?
I ignored it and continued listening to the lecturer.

Just then, the lecturer gave us a 5 minute break to stretch ourselves since it’s a hot day and many people were about to fall asleep. I picked up my phone in front of me.

“Seohyun, lunch together after this. Okay? ;) ”

Yoona. The first time I let someone break my barrier is to him. Without further ado, I replied.

“Sure.”

I turned around and saw him read the message. Looking at me, he winked. I can only smile at his antics. I took a sip of water and lectures start again. Trying to concentrate in class, I asked him to sit at his usual seat and also not gain a lot of attention from the students. Or most probably the teachers.

The teachers are always keeping an eye on me, expecting the best from me. I couldn’t let my results drop. At least, not because of him. Im Yoona. How many times have I spoke this name and still feel not used to it? The three syllables doesn’t really make much sense to me. Yet somehow something happened. Love happened.

What is love? I guess it’s something stronger than like. Like is like a bunch of dandelion seeds falling beautifully on the ground. It’s a soft and good feeling but can come and go at any time. Well, love... love is when those same dandelion seeds become firmly rooted sowing its seeds and growing another dandelion on the spot. It takes a lot of energy to grow the dandelion –

“Seohyun,” a voiced interrupted my thoughts. I look up at the teacher looking at me.

“Uh, yes?” I was startled by the sudden calling.

“Pay attention please.” I nodded my head and tried to focus again. I shouldn’t let Yoona distract my focus from studying like this. Maybe I should tell him about it. No, wait. He did nothing wrong. He just asked me out for lunch, and it was during the break. Nothing wrong there. Oh... I’m thinking about him again. Better focus.

The bell finally rang and I hastily packed my books and stationary into my bag.

Right after I finished packing, I could sense someone was beside me and it was none other than Yoona. He grinned and we held hands to his car until when we have to reach for the car doors.

“Where to?” I asked as I put my seat belt on.

“My hostel. I’m cooking.” Yoona replied casually.

I didn’t respond or should I say I didn’t know what to respond. Lunch. Cooked by him. Is it edible? I laughed in my mind.

We reached his hostel and he stopped the car. I got off the car first as he pulled the hand brake and turn off the engine. “Hungry much?” he chuckled.

“Imagine 3 hours of lecture straight.” I replied.
“I know, I know, I was there.” he argued.
“But you weren’t listening.” I debated back.
“You weren’t focusing too.” He was right. I wasn’t focusing in class earlier. The reason? Him. And I am too embarrassed to tell him that.
“Just cook my lunch, Yoong.” I admitted defeat. Right.. since when have I been calling him Yoong? I don’t know.

We entered his hostel and it was a pin drop silence. His roommates must be not around. I sat on the sofa as he went to his room to put down his belongings.

(Yoona’s Point of View)

I hastily put my belongings and reach for the door. Walking to the kitchen, I see Seohyun watching the television. Good. On with my plan, I’m not sure if Seohyun counts the days we’re together but I do. And today is our 1000th day. Teehee... who would count the days? Well, actually I just used an app on my phone to count the days for me. Thank whoever created the app. Muahaha!

While preparing the ingredients and lighting up the stove, I smiled; not knowing if it’s the fire or Seohyun flaring my heart.

(Seohyun’s Point of View)

I became bored watching the television after some time. How is Yoona getting on his cooking?

I went to check on him, making sure everything is okay. I put my head on his shoulder from behind casually.

However...

(Yoona’s Point of View)

Just as I was about to finish touching up the decorations beside the food, a sudden weight landed on my right shoulder. I jerked up and...

(Seohyun’s Point of View)

Yoona was startled. I look up at him, and he looked back at me.

(Yoona’s Point of View)

My heart almost stopped from the shock. Seohyun looking straight at me made it even worse. I got paralysed. Her sparkling eyes was looking into me innocently. I try to come back to my senses.

(Seohyun’s Point of View)

Yoona’s eyes were so... enticing... Wait, what?

I shut my eyes tightly. Time to get my head back in the right mind.

(Yoona’s Point of View)

I was looking into her eyes but my eyes somehow scanned down to her lips and stopped there. She closed her eyes. Is that giving me permission?

Grabbing the opportunity, my lips gently kissed her lips and moved away.

(Seohyun’s Point of View)

Right at the moment when I was to open my eyes, something touched my lips. Something soft. I opened my eyes and see Yoona quickly pretended as if nothing happened.

(Yoona’s Point of View)

I brought the dishes to the dining table and asked Seohyun to sit down while I get the cutleries. My heart was racing so fast that I think this is the third time I died for today. Uh... wait... heartbeats stop when people are dead.

Whatever. I can’t think straight –

“Yoona?” I turn towards Seohyun and timidly look into her eyes.

“Did... you... gismehjerznaow?” I hardly understood her. It was too fast.

“What?” I asked and uncontrollably blushing madly. I sort of guessed from the gibberish words.

(Seohyun’s Point of View)

I crossed my arms and puffed a big sigh. I cannot believe it.

“Aren’t you going to say anything?”

(Yoona’s Point of View)

“Uh...”

With Seohyun’s eyes glaring at me with her cringed nose and crossed arms, I suddenly sensed fear in addition to the tingling feeling after the kiss.

“I love you!” I said it fast and loud for her to hear and rushed to the living room. Grabbing the TV remote, I jumped on the couch and pressed the power button in the process. Putting a straight face, I acted as if nothing happened.

I feel like a coward. I hate it. Yet I can’t help being one.

As sounds from the TV filled the house, I heard a mumble from Seohyun.

I couldn’t quite make out the words, but from the sounds, I was so much in joy but hid it with a grin.

(Seohyun’s Point of View)

“Pabo (Stupid), I love you too.”
