"Hayoung fainted in school today."

     Each of the girls gasp at the news of their friend (well, ex-friend) and exchange horrified glances. "Yeah, that Hyuna pounced on her in the hallway. Poor little Hayoung doesn't even know how to defend herself without us." Chorong shakes her head furiously, her lips pulled into a deep frown.

     "Oh my god," Bomi breathes, her eyes wide. She places a hand over her heart. "This is my fault." She whispers.

     "Oh, shut up, Bomi-ah." Naeun crosses her arms and shakes her head. "It was no one's fault, Hayoung brought this on herself."

     Chorong and Bomi both gasp, "What?"

     "Guys, she doesn't want us to help her anymore. Can't you get that through your thick heads?" Chorong and Bomi look at each other in shock and Naeun laughs unsteadily. "Look at it this way," she says a bit kinder this time. "Hayoung has grown up and she wants to find another crowd, we have to let her. No matter how hard it is."

     It was harder than Naeun had expected to let Hayoung fly her own way. Seeing her dear friend walk down the school hallways with new friends and horrible clothes was heartbreaking. And without Hayoung in her old clique, the girls began to drift apart. Hayoung was the glue that kept them together and now that she was gone, the girls began to realize they barely knew anything about each other, let alone liked each other.

     It is with a heavy sigh that Naeun begins on her way out of the school building. Quite frankly, her day had .
