Kai
Kick.
Shoot.
Miss.
"Argh!"
He sighed in frustration, and ran his hands through his unkempt hair.
Shoot.
Miss.
He gritted his teeth, jaw clenched, and kicked the next ball.
Miss.
"Shoot!"
He flung himself onto the grassy field. The springy grass cushioned his fall, making the landing soft and painless. The smell of the fresh grass wafted around him, providing him comfort and familiarity in the foreign surroundings he was in.
Kai couldn't sleep, and he'd gone to one of the soccer stadiums to practice some shooting. The stadium was open-roof, it gave him the access to the night sky.
He put his hand over his eyes and sighed. Why couldn't he score? He'd always had no problems getting the ball straight in to the net. But he was continuously missing. And he was more frustrated than ever.
Adding to his frustration, the fact that the next day he would have to face the reality of dealing with Kara. He hadn't even dared to call her or to message her, because he was too afraid that he would worsen the situation. No. He wouldn't do things whilst there was still the distance. It would just make the whole situation blow up.
Was their relationship like the game? Was love a game? Was he playing it wrong? Would they just keep going round in circles, never actually solving their problem? Would they continue with the lies and the cover-ups, trying to protect each oth
