Tick and a Tock
Description
Minseok made his play. All he has to do is wait... and wait... and wait for that darn boy to man up and say he loves him.
High school!AU, in America to not insult culture. Minseok tells Luhan he loves him and wait for him to say it back, but Luhan won't budge. But Xiumin won't stop at anything until he has Luhan.
Foreword
"Woo-minnie," Luhan cooed as he threw his arms around him. Minseok smiled and poured some coffee for the two of them. "Oh! Your Americana blend! I love your coffee."
"Thanks, hyung," Minseok said quietly. He was never a man of many words, but usually, around Luhan, he opened up. But today was different.
"So what did you bring me here for?" Luhan queried when he sat at one of the tables in the coffeeshop Xiumin worked at. It was after hours, but Minseok was closing that day. Xiumin tapped his feet and sipped his coffee for a long while before speaking.
"I have something important to tell you," he finally breathed.
"Yes, you said that in your message," Luhan said with a cute smirk. It dropped when Minseok didn't reply for a while. "Minseok, is everything alright?" He only used his real name when he was angry or concerned.
"Everything's find, it's just..." Xiumin began. "This takes a lot of courage, and I'm not very courageous about talking to people."
"It's okay, I'll accept whatever you say." Xiumin took another long drag of coffee.
"Will you really?" he said quietly. He thought Luhan hadn't been able to hear him, but he replied.
"Of course."
"Luhan... I've known you for years. I've seen your cute little face around and your adorable personality for so long that I've known this for a while, but I'm not able to admit it. Or, I wasn't." Luhan was beginning to blush. Minseok took another breath before continuing. "You're my best friend, but I want you to be mine." Xiumin stood up. He was shaking. Luhan looked up at him like a deer caught in headlights.
"Lu Han, I love you so much."
Silence followed, until the door quietly closed behind him and Minseok let out a sob. The deer in headlights always runs.
