Love, Eventually
Description
Min Yoongi despised school with all of his might. His classmates rarely got the chance to spot him in class or even in the locker hallway. He’d rather sleep on the rooftop, read books under the old oak tree in their school backyard, or play basketball with his fellow teammates. He should consider himself lucky that his homeroom teacher for three years had been helping him throughout the exams and getting him on his final year of high school. Now that the final exam and graduation were coming up, Yoongi had to figure out a way how to drag his grades up enough to let him graduate. And he knew it would not be easy.
In contrary, Gong Minji is a passionate and diligent senior. She had been studying hard ever since the result of her mid-term exam on junior year came out. She wasn’t the brightest student of her class, but she got the ambition. After school tutorial session, self study in the library, or at home on the weekend, she’d done everything to escalate her grades and make her resume stands out. She wanted to go to med school after all. She certainly knew it was too late to work on her grades and resume starting on junior year. That’s why she worked very hard for it.
And so, the two people sat in the same waiting room across each other but oblivious to one another. They had the same appointment with the school academic advisor to discuss about their plans going after the university of their dreams. Yoongi was careless because it wasn’t the appointment he himself made. It was his homeroom teacher idea. He didn’t plan to go to college after all. Uninterested, he slumped on the couch and fold his hands, face covered in his favorite new era snapback, trying to sleep away the boredom of waiting. Meanwhile across the room, Minji was busy flipping through the med school brochure. Her mind was wandering to one year forward, imagining what her life would be as a student of her dream college. She already had plans throughout college years mapped out inside her head.
The door leading to the advisor office finally opened. Yoongi removed the snapback from his face while straightening himself and Minji looked up to the figure appearing on the door frame in anticipation. A woman in her early thirties came out with another senior student who just finished the session. Park Bom, the known academic advisor, smiled and patted the senior on the shoulder, “You’ll do fine at the entrance exam Seungyoon-ah. Keep up the good work.”
“Thank you, Ms. Park. I’ll take my leave then,” the male senior bowed to Bom and left with a smile as bright as his hope. Bom glanced over Yoongi and Minji, giving them a warm smile with both hands clasped together, “Well then, which one of you will go next?”
Foreword
Just another high school romance story. I always think about this plot whenever I watch boy in luv mv and I think I need to write it down for it to stop bugging me. And for the pairing, I just like the idea of these two together. Anyway, please don't repost it anywhere else without permission n_n
