No, it was never a coincidence.

It was a fate.

            Snow made the road became more slippery than usual and he made his way carefully, crossing the road to the small yet beautiful café situated in front of the library. The wind was blowing and the slim man hugged his body despite wearing a very thick winter jacket. It was the coldest season of the year and he was dying to get into the café; his mind already made a mental note to order his favourite hot beverage. Christmas was around the corner and people were bustling in and out the stores and shops. He looked around him and stepped aside when a mom with two big bags (obviously contained toys) and her two sons walked past him. Sometimes, the mother’s voice boomed when she scolded her sons for walking so slow. There was 10 seconds left before the red light turned green, so he quickened his steps.

            Several splash sounds were heard and he lifted his head, just to see a male with dark brown hair hurriedly crossing the road. The brunette’s eyes wandered to left and right, being aware of the cars waiting for the green light. The man straightened his body and looked in front. Their gazes met; brown orbs met black ones. The red-haired male bowed his head slightly and the brunette replied with the same manner; their eyes never stray. A small smile formed on the latter and their shoulders slightly touched when they finally passed each other at the middle of the road. Reaching the end of crossing, he turned his body slightly to look behind him but the cars started to move, hiding the brown-haired man cladded with dark blue jacket. He chuckled before pushing the door of the café; the bells ringing indicating arrival of a new customer. 

It was never a coincidence.
