My Child's Father
Description
My name is Lee Minyoung and I've been an Exo fan since their debut. I knew the night I spent with Exo's y dancing machine Kai would be unforgettable, but not for the reason that it was.
It started innocent enough. A small smirk at the fan sign, slipping a paper in my hand. Him assuring me that everything would be okay.
The feeling of his lips on mine. The fast beat of my heart...
Then it happened. It all happened and it was mindblowing and sort of a dream come true.
A dream come true, that is, until I realized that I was going to be the mother of Exo's Kai's unborn child... Was it a dream or a nightmare?
It kind of went downhill from there.
One dreamlike night with a Korean superstar led to me becoming a mother and a girl who got to know not Kai of Exo, but Kim Jongin.
Foreword
"Are you sure this is okay?" I asked, heart beating fast while he whispered some sweet words in to my ear.
"I'm positive," Kai replied in a silky smooth voice, making the hair on my arms stand up in anticipation. "I need you." My heart skipped a beat and my breath hitched as his lips gently caressed my neck.
"Okay," I moaned, eyelids half closed. "Then you can have me."'
"What do you want from me?" he spits, anger in his eyes. "Money? Fame? To ruin me and my band after we've worked so hard after all this time?"
"No..." I whisper, voice trembling. He isn't taking this well, and the look on his face is fairly intimidating. "I just wanted our baby to live knowing that their daddy knew they existed...I just wanted you to know."
For a moment, I thought the angry light in his eyes softened and the fury on his face depleated slightly. I thought for a moment everything would be okay.
"Don't call it our child. It means nothing to me...YOU mean nothing to me."
"Kai, I'm sorry," I sputter, tears beginning to flow out of my eyes. "I'm so sorry..."
"That's not my name," he says quietly, looking down into my eyes with a new kind of tenderness.
"Huh?"
"I'm Jongin...I'm Kim Jongin and it's nice to meet you. I'm Kim Jongin and I'm going to be a dad and everything is going to be okay."
Little do I know, that's not the way that life works.
