My name is Song Minji and I’m here to tell you a story. It’s an eye-opening story and I’ll warn you right now that it does not have a happy ending. Without him, I feel like there never will be a happy ending in my insignificant life. I don’t want his story to be lost in time though. I owe that much and so much more to the boy who came into my life, changed it, and left it too soon.

He’ll always be my guardian angel.

I’m not one for cheesy throw-up inducing fluffiness, but the boy who saved me from conforming to this world deserves it if anyone in the world does.

I’m a twenty one year old girl. I lived a normal life at a University. I never have been one to believe in real, unbiased love. The world just always seemed so messed up to me. It just seems like looks define who you are and beauty is more important than actual affection.

You could can say I’d been a bit of a pessimist.

Suho was blind. Yeah, go ahead, feel bad for him but honestly I feel bad for us.

Something about Junmyeon had always seemed a little different to me before I even spoke to him. He’d learned to get by really well with his blindness, though. He didn’t even use a cane. I guess I didn’t pay that much attention to him because he seemed like another rich and good looking flower boy. Little did I know he would change my life by opening my eyes.

He didn’t need his own eyes opened. He showed me the world from his point of view. He didn’t know what beauty looked like. He didn’t know what the beautiful blue hue of the ocean looked like, and he couldn’t even imagine it. Being blind from birth just seems like such an overpowering idea to me.

Never seeing. Never knowing what a dog looks like or even a human face. I can’t even imagine what that would be like.

Junmyeon knew, though. He knew and he accepted it. I hate the standards of beauty in the world but Junmyeon never did because he didn’t know what a face looked like, let alone a beautiful one. 

My time with him was far too short, but his memory will last forever...

I loved Junmyeon. You would have too.
