Let's Make This Last Year Count

Description

This is not your typical high school love story. Jiyong and Youngbae aren't fumbling with both feelings and school. But their love is threatened from the first day of their Senior year and it will take more than teenage hormones and promises to keep them from falling apart.

Foreword

In a BigBang fan world dominated by GTOP and G-Ri and ToDae, I've been on the impoverished island of GDYB. So, I've decided to make up for the severe lack of attention to the greatest K-pop love story ever told by creating this account and writing fics (read that as "Living in my fantasy world and sharing it with you all as a means of procrastinating on assignments"). I hope I can give GDYB shippers something to look forward to here, with my first fic~

Chapter 7: The greatest couples are not those who are not all giddy and lovey-dovey all the time but those who stick to each other through thick and thin, who are there for each other in bad times as well. Therefore, I really think that Jiyong and Youngbae set an example for all couples out there! :-)

Oh and another thing! I thought the dialogue between Jiyong and Minkyung was quite interesting. It made me curious about Jiyong's father. What kind of person is he? What would he say if he saw Jiyong now? What would he do? I really hope that we will get to know more about him. Also, it seems like he is the only person who could save Jiyong from his mother, hence, I hope even more that he will appear sooner or later. I also kind of wonder when Seungri will appear again. He is so weird o.O haha!

Dear, what else can I say? I run out of words everytime I read your stories because they are fantastic in all ways possible :) I am always looking forward to your updates and I will always wait paitiently for them. I love this story and your work in general. Thank you so much <33

Chapter 7: Hello there ^^ First of all, I am sorry for being so late. I actually read this as soon as it was up but I was in such a stressful situation (exams) that I hadn't been able to leave a decent comment and I really did not want to say only a handful of plain words about this excellent chapter! I think "emotional" is what describes this chapter best. It evoked all kinds of feelings in me: anger, because of the scars Ji's mum has left on him, sadness, because of his and Youngbae's helplessness and yes, even happiness because of the incredibly strong bond between those two. Especially the very last sentence touched me a lot (or let's say I died). I think I could never identify as much with Youngbae as I did in this chapter. I mean, don't get me wrong, ofc I understood his worries regarding Jiyong and his abusive mother but I just think that in this chapter, I understood just HOW worried he is and it broke my heart. It made me understand what a horrible feeling that must be: seeing someone you love suffering and not being able to help. It's terrible ._. And the fact that the two of them started to cry there in the bathroom ... I cried with them (inwardly) :( But as sad as it is, one just has to praise you for being so realistic! I often see that authors take the 'simple'way to solve problems, mainly by simply ignoring the circumstances (e.g age of characters) and making everything seem easy when in fact, it is really hard! And I said it once, but you are brilliant for not choosing the "simple way" but for making everything a bit difficult. I love that about your stories! It shows that you are excellent enough to "deal with" such problematic situations in your stories :) I think it's wonderful how Youngbae and Jiyong never say "I" but "we" when talking about each other. It's like their feelings for each other are so strong that they see each other as "one" which is SO beautiful! No matter how hard the situation is, these two can always count on each other. -con-

Chapter 7: I'm glad you updated.I love this story.I got emotional when reading this. You're such a good writer. This story has my 100% attention it pull me in.I can feel Jiyong and Youngbae"s helplessness , guilt frustration cause of Jiyong"abuse by his mother and also their unconditional love for each other. I hope Jiyong would trust an adult ,Youngbae"s parents to tell or contact his dad (I know he left him but he probably don't know I wish for his sake) just someone who can help him. This is well written ,beautiful sad and still have hope that everything will turn out alright. You're an awesome writer.Keep up the good work.Thank you.
