I was about to be in deep sleep when foot steps can be heard again. I shaked Ken and he wake up.. "Ken! Did you hear it??"I whisper "Uhmm, What is it???"He ask "Foot steps.."I said "Foot Steps?!"He shockingly said "Yeah, I always hear it everynight!"I said "Come on! Let's check it out!"He suggested as he get off from the bed "No! Don't Ken!! I'm afraid!!"I said whispered "Don't be a scaredy cat!! We have to talk to them so that we may know if what is their problem and we could help them too.."Ken said while pulling me out of the bed "But, what are we going to do??"I ask "First we have to know where is their cave.."Ken said as he look around the room "I think, up in the attic! That's where I always hear the foot steps..."I suggest "Okay, so how can we go up in the attic??"Ken ask "There is hole in the ceiling of this room but we just covered it with plywood when we renovated it.."I explained "So tell me where is it???"Ken ask But before I could say anything, he got his phone and open an app.. "What is it?!"I ask as I look thruogh his phone "It's an app where it can detect spirits in a specific place!"Ken said as he face his phone "It's not true!!"I shouted "Shh, here! it make this sound so we know where it is."He said So he follow where the sound from his phone and I'm just at his back. We continued walking and the sound coming fro his phone became faster and louder.. "Here! Up there!"He said as he point the ceiling "How'd you know?? That's the way to the attic..."I curiously ask "I told you, this app is 100% trusted and proven.."He said. We went up to the attic and saw nothing but a box. And cold breeze we felt. I was getting more nervous about this thing.. I suggested Ken to stop this, but he won't! Once he started he'll gonna finish.. We got near to the box and saw a red cloth that covers it.. Ken is about to get the cloth when I warn him.. "Ken! you sure about this??"I ask "Yes, and I'm sure this red cloth is use to talk to spirits.."He explain "It's really getting colder here!!"I said as I cross my arms "Just go with it!"He said So he got the red cloth and we check what's inside. And we saw a book but it look like more of a photo album, I'm not sure. And different kinds of stuff but it looks like more than 5 years old. Ken is about getting that book or photo album when cold and loud breeze covered our body and somebody whispered in my ear saying "NO". It's cold but not terrifying. And the word "NO" struck my mind. "Maybe the spirit don't want us to touch it's tresured things"I said in my mind.. So I immediately got Ken's hand and pulled him down from the attic to my room and the wood that covers the wall fell and made a loud noise but I didn't mind it because Ken distracted me.. "Wanda! Were to close to get a clue!!"Ken shouted I didn't utter a word anymore because I heard Mom and Dad rushing to my room.. "Wanda! Ken! what happened?? Where is that noise coming from?? *Mom worriedly ask "And why is the two of you still up this very late evening??"Dad ask "Uhmm, Ken just had a bad dream! "I denied "Yeah. I had bad dream.."Ken said "And what happened to the wood here??"Dad ask "Cat dad!! It accidentaly step on it so the wood fell.."I said. Another lie... "Okay, we'll talk about this tomorrow.. You two go to bed.. "Dad ordered So we went back to bed and Mom came to me and kiss my forehead.. >>NEXT MORNING<< We both wake up and it's 7 in the morning! We hurriedly went down stairs and we saw Mom preparing our breakfast and Dad drinking coffee while reading newspaper as we walk down the stairs Mom greeted us.. So how's your sleep here Ken?? *Mom ask "Fine."Ken said and smile "Uhmm. Wanda, I'm going to bring here a carpenter to fix the ceiling there in your room and instead of wood we'll just make it cemented..."Dad said as he took a drink from his coffee "No! I-i mean. I'm going to fix the ceiling myself. I don't want to bother you anymore.."I said "Are you sure? It's not a bother for me.."Dad said "No, I'm fine dad.."I replied Me and Ken ate our breakfast and proceeded up to my room to take a bath and and change our clothes. After we fix ourself, we went outside and jump in the car.. We are on our way to school when I noticed Ken can't barely speak. He's silent, I think he's afraid of something. To stop this thoughts, I guess I should have to speak with him. "Ken! Is there something wrong?? "I ask "No, Nothing!!!!!"He said "Then why are you silent? It's not Ken I know.."I said "Can't be quiet sometimes"Ken said I didn't reply because he looks really serious, like what is wrong?? Why did he suddenly became like this? The whole period of our classes, he's still the same. No word can be heard in his mouth.. He only talks if someone would ask from him for something . I'm afraid for my bestfriend. I kept finding a way how to talk to my bestfriend when suddenly I remembered that his things is left in my house because of course, who wants to bring a big load going to school. So after classes I approach him.. "Hey! Ken"I shouted from a far "Oh, Wanda.."Hee said with his head down "You remember that.. Your things are still in my place.."I said "Oh, let's go."He said and went to my car Okay, he's really getting weird.. I started the car. We are on our way but still, Ken is silent.. His silence bothers me. So I approached him.. "Ken??"I ask "Yes??"He ask "Why are you like that the whole time??"I ask "Nothing, It's just.. I don't know.."Ken said "Come on! I'm your bestfriend..."I said "Do you insist??"He ask "Yeah, I do!"I replied "But please don't be scared... "He said "I will try my best.."I answer "Because *Clears throat* I-i can always see ghost wherever you are..."He said with his head down I was about to stop the car. But if I would I'll just make myself more scared.. "R-really??"I ask in disbelief "Can we just forget about it?"Ken said I didn't reply back and continued driving until we reach home.. We continued to my room and he got his things. "I'll company you home, if you like to.."I ask "No, I can go home.."Ken said as he went outside the house "Okay, Take care!"I shouted from afar "You, Take care!!"He answered back As I close the door. I remembered what Ken said.. Why does the ghost always following me. I mean to all three of us here, Why Me?! I sat on the couch and watch TV. I called Mom, maybe she wants to join me. But no answer coming from Mom.. So I went to the refrigerator to get a drink and as I close the door of the refrigerator, I saw a note... " Wanda, me and your Dad are at a business trip.. I don't know why, I should be here with him but maybe this is also a time for us to be together even just for a day.. We'll be right there tomorrow morning.. Sleep early dear. Godbless! Mom" Oh great! Now I'm all alone with the ghost that follows me.......... All night I watch TV, I don't want to sleep because maybe those creepy things that always happen to me when I'm asleep will happen tonight. So it's better to be wide awake.. I'm watching a movie when I felt something, like someone sitting next beside me.. Now I felt scared, I know there's no one in the house except me and I know that spirits live here..... And because I was this scared I didn't know why I utter this words... "Who are you?!"I said still not looking beside me
