“What’s this?”

I held the brown leather-covered diary in my hand, shoving it straight to his face. He looked shock at the sight of that shabby old book, but he regained his composure right away, like it was nothing at all to him. But I knew from his unfocused eyes, he was nervous as hell. He was caught red handed.

“That’s mine. Where did you get that?”

“Doesn’t matter. What the heck is wrong with you?! Why would you write something like that a- a- about me?!”

I was breathing fire, and I was ready to burn him down into ashes. His colour drained from his face at that second, he was biting his lower lip excessively. He did that a lot every time he was nervous, it was a habit he had since he was little. I knew he was trying hard to find an excuse, but he got nowhere to escape. Lies would only do him more damage, and lying was not something I could compromise with, especially not from him.

“Would you care to explain, Jonghyun?”

He looked at me for the longest time, his eyes were no more wandering off the point, they were focused right on me, and then he cleared his throat.

“Well, you see, I--”
