Smiles
The World Is So MeanSame old thing. Same old routine. Same thing everyday. Wake up. Go to the bathroom. Get ready for school. Eat breakfast. Everyday Mom and dad argue about the same thing. About money. They're about to get a divorce well thats what they say. Without saying anything to them I just put my bowl in the sink and leave. Life.....when will things change?? I get to school. Same thing too. Girls doing their hair to impress the guys. Putting on perfume to attract them. Friends laughing and joking together but for real they just talk behind each others back.
"Hey bomi!!" My friends ran up to me.
"Hi" I smiled back.
These 2 are my friends, aemin and jarin. They're good friends but I just feel misplace. They treat me right and everything. I just don't feel like I wasn't meant to be here. Maybe we weren't suppose to be friends. They're just fading away from me it seems like. When will I feel right??
[After School]
I don't wanna go. Mom and dad are probably gonna argue again like how they do everyday. I'll go to the swing sets. Like usual. I go there whenever I'm sad or have nothing to do. Mostly cause I'm sad. That's where all my thoughts wander. I sighed and sat on the swing set. I put my school bag by the pole.
I don't wanna be alone again.....
Ever since middle school I was bullied. Girls call me fat and ugly. Yea people say they're just jealous of me just so I could feel better but when I look at them I get jealous. They're pretty and skinny. Even though I was still young i knew. Its not like I was a little kid anymore anyways. Right now even though nobody says those things anymore I can't help it but think of those things. I'm too insecure about myself. People probably think I'm annoying......
I had friends in middle school. I thought we would never separate too but....high school came along and we did. She went her own way and the other did too. My world just shattered. They were my closest friends. I thought my truest friends. Well that's what they say. You'll find your true friends in high school which means...I have no friends.....i don't wanna be close to be people. They just might leave me....get annoy of me. Hate me. Laugh at me.....but....i don't wanna be alone either......
"Ahh...." I wiped my tears.
Why do I always have to think so much??
"What's wrong??" Somebody came up to me.
I looked up. It was guy. He had brown hair. Puppy like eyes. He had a baby face. So adorable. Who is he??
"I always see you crying here" he said.
"Ahh its nothing" I shook my head.
He reached out his hand to me and smiled.
"You're always crying. For once I wanna see you smile" he said.
I just wanna to cry more. I wanna to grab his hand and hug him. Even though I didn't even know this person. Who is he?? Why is he doing this?? My hand slowly went up towards his hand. This stranger....how could a stranger say that to me who he doesn't even know at all. My hand finally touched his.
"I just moved near here like last week and I always see you here" he said.
He pulled me up.
"If you need a hug I could give you one" he smiled.
His smile....its so bright and cute. It made my heart flutter. I didn't say anything so in the end he just hugged me.
"You probably think I'm weird" he chuckled.
I nodded.
"Its okies but I'm moving to your school pretty soon. Looking at your logo on the uniform its also the school i applied" he said.
"Oh really" I nodded.
"Hopefully we're in the same class" he said.
"Thanks" I said.
"Huh why??" He questioned.
"For giving me a hug" I looked away.
"Oh aha. Its nothing. Just helping a friend" he laughed.
"It means a lot" I said.
"Well if you need a hug. I'll give you one anytime" he put his thumbs up.
I nodded. He then got out a piece of paper out and started writing on it.
"Here you go" he hand me the paper.
I looked at it. It had a phone number on it.
"Its my number. So if you need me call me" he smiled.
"Thanks" I said.
He looked at the time in his phone.
"Oh I gotta go!! Well see you tomorrow at school" he started backing up.
"Okies" I nodded.
"Bye" I waved.
He ran off waving too. I looked at the number. I smiled. He's kind. But wait...I don't know his name. Aha.
[Next Day]
"hello. im jeon jungkook" he bowed.
oh his name....i finally get to know his name. jungkook.
"jungkook you could sit..." the teacher looked around.
"oh next to bomi" the teacher pointed to the empty desk next to me.
jungkook nodded. he then noticed me.
"oh hi" he waved.
he sat down on the desk.
"i forgot to ask your name yesterday but i guess your is bomi" he smiled.
"yea" i nodded.
"im jungkook. nice to meet you" he reach his hand out.
i looked at his hand. just like yesterday. i grabbed his hand and we shook hands.
[Lunch]
"do you know him??" jarin asked.
"who??" i questioned.
"jungkook" aemin whispered.
"i met him yesterday" i said.
"hes pretty cute" jarin smiled.
"he is" aemin nodded.
i nodded also.
"how did you guys meet??" aemin asked.
"i dropped some papers on my way home and he helped me pick it up" i lied.
"oh" jaerin nodded.
"love at first sight??" aemin giggled.
"no" i shook my head.
"he is kind though" i said.
"it was fated for you guys" jarin laughed.
aemin laughed also.
"shut up you guys" i laughed.
[Jungkook's View]
"hey" these guys came up to me.
"im namjoon"
"and im jimin"
"taehyung"
"jin"
"and im suga"
"and me hoseok"
"im jungkook" i smiled.
"you have such a baby face" namjoon said.
"the girls are going crazy over you" suga said.
"oh aha" i laughed.
"lets all be friends since we're in the same class" jin smiled.
i looked at bomi. she was laughing. i smiled to myself. her smile is so beautiful.
"who you looking at??" jimin questioned.
"oh those 3" hoseok said.
"thats bomi, aemin, and jarin" taehyung named.
"theyre really close" namjoon said.
"friends every since the first year of high school" suga said.
"do you like one of them??" jin asked.
"no. just interested being friends" i said.
"who??" jimin questioned.
"how is bomi in school??" i asked.
"ahh bomi" they all nodded.
"shes really cheerful and smiley" hoseok said.
"but everybody likes jarin. youre weird" taehyung said.
"you see between those 3. everybody likes jarin cause shes pretty" namjoon said.
"and aemin is really quiet but is pretty loud when you get to know her" suga said.
"for bomi shes really bright and smiley" jin said.
totally the opposite from what i see her at the swing sets. she just hides it all from that smile of hers.
[After School Bomi's View]
no more smiling. yea between my friends i do laugh and smile for real but behind my mind theres always something reminding me......i cant get close to them. if i do then it might happen again. i might be left alone again.
i sat on the swing sets. i end up here again. i sighed.
"i knew you would be here again" somebody said.
i looked up. it was jungkook. he sat on the next swing set.
"hows the school??" i asked.
"good" jungkook nodded.
"a lot of girls already like you" i said.
"oh really" jungkook laughed.
"you are good looking" i said.
"so does that mean you like me too??" jungkook asked.
"no. only as a friend" i shook my head.
jungkook nodded.
"youre so different at school" jungkook said.
"huh??" i looked at him.
"you smile and laugh at school but when youre by yourself you....youre you" jungkook said.
"oh" i nodded.
"you hide all your sadness with that smile" jungkook said.
"why??" jungkook asked.
"cause" i said.
"you cant trust them?? your friends" jungkook questioned.
how?? how does he know so much??
"its cause of my friends before" i said.
"its cause of my friends before" i said.
why am i telling him?? i've just known him only for 2 days but i have a feeling where i could just tell him everything.
"what about you past friends??" jungkook asked.
"they made me who i am" i looked down.
my eyes getting watery. i never told anyone this story.
