It really wasn’t my fault. So I accidentally gave my new phone away. Is ‘give away’ the right term I should use in this situation? Anyway, it REALLY was NOT my fault. I mean, duh, I’m fully aware it was my hand that handed over the phone, but it felt a little like I was possessed that day, so I just handed it over without being the least bit suspicious of the guy who was borrowing it. He was in a pink hoodie, which wasn’t really suspicious by itself, but he was also wearing a face mask –it reminded me a bit of Zelo. Wait. Was that Zelo? Okay, there I go getting distracted again. So there. He was in a face mask, oh –and gloves. Although as far as I’m concerned, the SARS epidemic was long gone, but who was I to judge? Maybe it was a weird fashion statement or something. The point is, I handed him my phone. And then the son of a witch just ran off with it. and I didn’t have enough time to process the situation and scream ‘Stop, thief!’ or maybe I just didn’t have enough sense to do so.
