The Green Pendant

“Max! Wake up! Max, please!”
That annoying high-pitched voice kept shouting his name in front of his room.
Her voice was getting louder and louder, but she got no response.
At the moment, she asked herself whether Max was die or not.

She was trying to open the door, but it locked inside.
Frustratingly, she pushed the door and made some noises.
She needed to wake him up as soon as possible, and gave him some ‘lesson’.

Max wriggled his body slightly. Those noises successfully woke him up.
Lazily, he rubbed his eyes and dragged his feet towards the door.
With half eyes open, he looked outside. Sadly, he found nobody in front of his room.
He frowned. Is there any naughty fairy who ?

Something that Max didn’t know that Krystal was hiding in the cupboard beside the door. She hit her head and blamed herself for being such a weird girl. But at least she did her first task perfectly today. She could wake him up today. What a mission.

When she was sure that Max went inside, she slowly got outside the cupboard.
She didn’t even care if someone was laughing at her, unless—
Unless the man is Max Changmin who was laughing hardly beside her right now.

“What are you laughing at?” She asked him sarcastically, hid her embarrassment.
“No, nothing.” He managed to stop laughing and looked at the shorter girl.
“I’m sorry about that.”
Krystal looked at him back. This man laughed at her after she sacrificed her time. It was cruel, wasn’t it?

“I’m sorry. I won’t laugh at you again, promise.”
Max apologized for the second time, but she didn’t answer anything.
When he was going to turn around, she suddenly said, “Apologize rejected.”
Max was slightly shocked. He didn’t think that a girl like Krystal would do that.

Max messed his hair frustratingly and looked to the sky.
He was looking at Krystal who flew farther to the north.
“How can I live with that kind of girl for the rest of my life?” Max mumbled and followed her.

“Krystal!”
“Why are you here?”
 “To be a gentleman.”
Krystal looked at him in disbelief.
A strange man who she met yesterday knew that sentence?

 “Princess Lily.”
His lips finally call her name in peace again. The name he longed for years.
 “Why are you here?”
Like a sun towards winter, her cold response didn’t make him walk farther. Instead, he walked closer and whispered right in her ears.
“To be a gentleman.”
“I know you’ll find me. I know that.”

“It’s not like I don’t know the route. You flew to north.”
She blinked and nodded her head slightly.
“Yeah, of course. You won’t find better place other than this lake in north forest.”
‘Naïve. He wasn’t Giorgio, you fool.’

“Do you forgive me?”
“No.” she made a slight pout and walk closer to the lake.
Max frowned. That sentence didn’t work for her. Did it?
“Why?”
“I need to give you some lesson first.”

Max gasped and leaned his back on the chair.
He rubbed his face and yawned, felt tired because of those ‘lesson’ she gave to him.
When he was going to sleep, a bamboo tube fell from the table.
It was painted with brown tint, and engraved with abstract things.
“How can I don’t know that she gave me this?”

He was going to open the tube when those bad memories come into his mind again.
Accidentally, the tube fell and rolled away.
And before Max could realize it, it went away from him.

Max clenched his tight fist and punched the wall.
His anger reached its again, and he knew that he should do something right now.
