Foreword

Baekhyun

Byun Baekhyun walks his way in the “Starlight Agency” building with his shades still on, gaze high and confidence bursting from every pound of his expensive smelling and stylish clothed body. The headman’s room is located on the fourth floor of the modern place and Baekhyun reaches it using stairs, because stairs help keeping in shape and because Byun Baekhyun never sweats anyway.

A polite secretary takes him to her boss’ office with a captured gaze, blushing when Baekhyun winks before knocking on the closed door in front of them. As a loud and composed “Come in” breaks in their silence, Baekhyun makes his smirking entrance.

“Good morning.” the man inside greets, sit at the other edge of a huge desk, before widening his eyes at the sight of Baekhyun calmly taking a seat and plopping his Luis Vuitton bag on the table with a loud thump. “Uhm, take a.. seat.”

Baekhyun grins, immediately pushing his Curriculum toward the man with a bright “Thank you. I’m Byun Baekhyun, 23, give me a chance and I’ll be the best thing to have ever happened to you.”

The older man swallows, threatened by the confidence in Baekhyun’s voice and that hair flip that frees a pair of glittering eyes.“Rather cocky.” he comments, brow arched as Baekhyun waves him off with a laugh.

“Confident, I’d say. This is a PR agency so I guess confidence makes the difference, doesn’t it?”

The headman opens his mouth a few times before closing it again, at a loss for words. Before he can formulate a proper sentence, however, a loud pop melody breaks in the silence that has fallen in the room.

“Oh Lord, sorry.” Baekhyun says, fumbling with his bag until a ringing phone is standing in his hands and he sends the bewildered man an annoyed look. “This girl is chasing after me like a cat with a mouse, seriously. They don’t really get the meaning of a ‘one night stand’ it seems.”

The young man gets rid of said girl with a quick text and a moment later he returns his attentions to the frozen man in front sitting of his eyes. “So, we were saying?”

The man coughs, trying to compose himself by directing all of his attentions to Baekhyun’s curriculum.

“Byun Baekhyun-sshi, uhm.. seems like you’ve worked as a model before. What made you change your mind about your career, exactly?”

“Well, first of all, cotton is not really that tasty and I like being healthy,” Baekhyun explains nonchalantly “Second, I’ve always worked well around people and the idea kind of hit me when I saved a new stylist from making a huge disaster of his debut runaway. Kim Minseok, never heard of him? He’s great, but totally anti social.”

The man stares at confident features halfway between annoyed and mesmerized. The confusion caused by Baekhyun’s interesting cockiness makes him silent for a while but, once again, a melody breaks in before he can say anything.

Baekhyun rolls his eyes as he checks his phone again but quickly frowns at seeing the unknown number displayed on the screen. Totally unaware of the man’s death glare, he picks up cautiously, sure it’s not that annoying girl again. “What?” he asks after a while “Right now?”

Before he can protest, the voice from the other line says something that makes his words die in his throat and a moment later he is hanging up, shrugging at the dark eyes settled on him. He stands up and stretches a hand, “Seems like I’ve got to go, Kim-sshi. You’ll contact me, won’t you?”

He winks, rushing out of the room before the shocked man can yell at him to never show up in his agency ever again.

Kyungsoo

The Hair Shop run by Hong-ajusshi, as everyone is used to call him, has gone through a radical 360° degrees change since Do Kyungsoo got allowed to help the old man as his right arm.

After 36 years of usual clients, now middle-aged women, young students of all ages had started flowing in the shop in order to spend a few hours a day staring at the cute and meticulous Kyungsoo, always apparently impenetrable, at work. In addiction, the place is always neat and shining now, as a consequence to Kyungsoo’s control-freak personality.

Despite Hong-ajusshi always telling him his popularity in the neighborhood is no joke, which could be clearly seen from the amount of young boys and girls coming over for him alone, Kyungsoo never really cared.

Saturday mornings always are the most chaotic moment of the week, with all the students hurrying to the shop taking advantage of their day off from school, and Kyungsoo hates Saturday mornings the most. His shy and reserved personality has never matched with his job, with all the people and old women gathering in the shop to gossip over whoever isn’t present, and the number of mouths saying nonsense simply triplicates, on Saturday mornings. Even after seven year of working as a hairstylist, Kyungsoo hasn’t got accustomed to that all, yet.

“I’m paying for a hair cut and a mask.” says Jinmi, a young girl who has been around the shop since a few years now and who, in different occasions, has tried to invite Kyungsoo out for a date in vain.

Kyungsoo taps on the cash recorder quickly and a moment later, Jinmi has her bill in hands. “The total is of 12.000.” He announces cooly.

The payment is a bit slower that it is supposed to be as Jinmi seems a bit too mesmerized by Kyungsoo’s tousled and soft-looking dark hair to count her cash properly. “You’re the best in math, Kyungsoo.”

Kyungsoo smiles politely, like he has gotten used to do whenever he hears the compliment. Unfortunately, being smart or good in math has never been enough for him to attend college. Together with his single mother, Kyungsoo has always struggled to survive until the end of the month, with all the expenses and the rent to pay and no one there to ever economically help them. That was the reason why Kyungsoo started working at a very young age, at 15, to give his contribute to their little family under Hong-ajusshi’s protection.

Once Jinmi exits the shop, Kyungsoo sighs at the 13, maybe 15 clients already waiting for their turn in the waiting corner of the shop. As he is about to invite Kim-ajumma to take a seat for her shampoo, however, the phone rings. Kyungsoo asks Yunho, the younger brother of one of their dearest client who happens to be there at the moment, to pick up the call for him as he’s busy, and can’t help a loving smile as the boy immediately obeys to his request with a pure gaze of adoration gracing his face.

Kyungsoo studies Yunho’s slowly frowning expression carefully, during the call, and questions the boy with his eyes once he hangs up.

“Uhm, it was a certain Notary Cha, Kyungsoo-hyung. He said you’ve been called for a very important meeting this afternoon at 4PM.”

“Notary Cha?” Kyungsoo frowns, trying to recall the name in vain “I don’t know anyone with this name.”

“He said you would have said this, and added that the meeting is about your family, so you should go.”

Yunho shrugs, confused, and Kyungsoo can’t help feeling slightly uncomfortable.

His mother is his family, after all.

Sehun

Oh Sehun has never struggled to get whatever he wanted.

It could have been because of his charming appearance or because of his always apparently stolid behavior, but people always ended up giving him everything without Sehun having to ask. His luck has always been there, since he was a kid, as his grandparents and single mother worshipped him like he was the most beautiful treasure on earth since the day he was born.

Now, at the age of 19, Sehun thinks that apart from money, he has everything: a successful career at school, from which he has just graduated, a family which loves him endlessly and a boyfriend he couldn’t live a single day without.

Park Chanyeol, 23 and majoring in applied music, had asked Sehun out on the latter’s second week of high school and since then, never let go.

Sehun is in Chayeol’s shared room in college when the call arrives, and it luckily doesn’t interrupt their romantic in-door date as they have just finished their third round. Chanyeol’s roommate is out for a basketball match with some friends, they had to take advantage of that.

The loud music breaks their peaceful after-, though, and it makes Sehun groan. Without stopping drawing patterns on Chayeol’s , he grumbles, “Phone.”

“Your phone.” Chanyeol groans back, against his pillow, and Sehun pouts. Of course, Justin Bieber’s Baby couldn’t be Chanyeol’s ringtone.

Sighing, he stretches his body towards Chanyeol’s bedside to take his phone and answer the insisting call with a lazy voice. “Oh Sehun, who’s talking?”

Chanyeol turns to the side to grab Sehun’s body and pull the boy closer, in order to overhear the conversation without problems. They both frown in confusion as the voice from the other line talks restlessly, then share a pointed look as the call ends.

“Should I go?” Sehun asks, thoughtful, and Chanyeol considers.

“Maybe it’s one of your grandfather’s strange ideas about pension and stuff.”

“So, I should go.”

Chanyeol shrugs, pulling him close for a quick kiss before he adds, “I’ll take you there with Jonghyun’s car, I don’t think he will mind.”

After his words, Sehun opens up in a little grin and stands up to reach Chanyeol’s roommate’s closet in all his slender glory. As he turns back to his flushed boyfriend, a pair of keys is dangling form his fingers.

“Especially if hyung doesn’t know.”

Chanyeol returns the grin, “That’s why I love you, baby.”

Junmyeon

Being a young father who has just lost his job and has a nagging ex-wife always complaining about his everything, Kim Junmyeon knows he can’t survive for long. After a bad affair has brought him to lose his relatively successful restaurant in the centre of the city, he has found himself unemployed and still forced to spend all of his money to sustain his wife and eleven-years-old son. After a lifetime of successes and wealth, he is understandably facing a deep depression now.

He is in his little apartment talking at the phone with his angry ex-wife when the call arrives, giving him a great and unexpected excuse to shut the nagging woman down at least for the afternoon. If he could take his son out without worrying about not being able to give him whatever he wanted, he would.

He picks up the new call after a sigh and a few bad words from his ex-wife, which he knowingly ignores. “Hello, Kim Junmyeon here.”

The voice from the other line speaks up politely, giving Junmyeon news which bring him to frown in confusion immediately. “I’m sorry, Notary Cha, are you sure you called the right person?”

As Notary Cha gives him no way to turn his invite down and greets him hurriedly before hanging up, Junmyeon stares at his now blank phone’s display with a brow raised.

Something else adds to his list of ‘Things which make me wonder what I’ve done wrong in my past life to deserve this all.’

Luhan

“Lu, stop eating, we’re late to your meeting with the new business consultant.”

Kris Wu sighs, exasperated, as his boss sends him a pouting look and begs for other ten minutes to enjoy his curry ramen in peace, in all his 26-years-old childish glory.

“I don’t even like that dude. I don’t want to hire him. Did you see the way he stubbornly combines black and dark blue in his outfits like, every freaking time?”

Luhan, manager of the fashion magazine Vogue Korea, shivers in horror at the mentioned fact, bringing his secretary to roll his eyes.

“At least he has talent, Lu, and you need a businessman anyway.”

“I’ll find one my own way.”

Kris fixes judging eyes on him, defeated. Luhan’s own way always consisted of a quick glance followed by a huge smile if the person in front of his eyes managed to leave a good first impression or a polite one if he/she didn’t. This was how Luhan chose all of his employers, Kris included, and it wasn’t like Luhan ever got something wrong, but it wasn’t really ordinary either. He never spared his employers’ curriculums a glance once.

“As you wish.” Kris gives up, shrugging and giving up to Luhan’s stubborn hand trying to feed him some ramen, too.

The call makes Luhan groan loudly as it destroys the calm of his always vital lunch break. He fixes bored eyes on Kris as he picks up, expecting some other absurd advertising offer from insignificant companies which always were his least favorite thing, but Kris immediately appears curious and confused as he speaks with the person on the other line.

When he hangs up, a while later, he sends a wide-eyed Luhan a look. “Seems like we’ve got to delay all of yours appointments today. A certain Notary Cha has called you for an important meeting.”

“A notary?” Luhan asks, taken aback “Seems serious.”

“Seems like it.”

They both look at each other for a moment, eventually ending up shrugging.

In Luhan’s opinion, everything was better than a bad-dressed business consultant, anyway.

-

Notary Cha turns out to be a very old and kind looking man, short and bald and with some little glittering eyes that are now happily studying the five men in front of his eyes paired up with a warm smile.

“What’s with those long faces, guys? You’re here to receive good news!”

The five raise their brows contemporarily, and a moment later they are once again studying each other cautiously. Kyungsoo is the first one who dares to ask, “The five of us together? Who are these people?”

He is lost, big eyes wider than ever, and he’s just as weary as all the others. Baekhyun has spared the other four a quick look before deciding to fix his gaze on the one with the gorgeous face and high-class clothes, whoever he was; Luhan keeps on looking around with lost puppy eyes but a polite smile on his face, unused to attend meetings without Kris by his side; Junmyeon stands still and tensed, a gloom air coming out from his face, while Sehun sits ungracefully, legs spread and arms crossed as he studies the other five faces in the huge, old-fashioned room.

Notary Cha smiles at Kyungsoo’s question, widening his arms in a warm gestures as he speaks unimaginable words which give everyone a deep shock.

“These people are your brothers, Kyungsoo-sshi.”

Chapter 5: Nya~~ kkkyaaa~~ jdhudcb~~~ that's it, it's compleeeete~~ :D :( I want more :)

Ahaa xD Baek is a reactive child xD he can be so silly xD and Tao.. What a girl!
It's kindda a miracle that they've reached their destination xD happily, they did xD so much feels! XD
BROMANCEEEE~~~~ :D hansoo's brmance is so cute! I'm sure they could have an affair [when Kris is far away in a buisness trip and Lu feels alone ^^ xD] oh and who did Baek meet?? ^^ if you know what I mean xD
Baek and sehun are so witty xD they passed pro in the art of annoying Lu xD
I come back on the Krishan scene because it was so good xD yeah, so I liked [a bit too much] how naturally they switched to chinese. It's like they entered their own bubble, something that's between them~ and somehow, Lu fights back, but now really Kris' "hug" but only because he wants to strangle Baek and Sehun. So he's totally ok being near Kris. Nyyaaa~~

It was a nice conclusion, LWM :) *feeeeels~~* the horns and the moustache [the moustache is pure denial, I'm sure!!] was well thought! Really, a punch in the somehow serious mood :D

Thank youuu~~

Chapter 5: Adorable Brotherly Hansoo as ever, and Tao has grown on me :3 Sehun and Baekhyun are just something, aren't they? xD Also, KRISHAN. I adore all these rare pairs something fierce.

The family situation overall was just so heartwarming, and the end just made everything come to a close perfectly. Your stories are wonderful, Hansoo or no, and I really do mean it.
