The Insatiable
Description
Sehun is a centuries-old vampire whose insatiable desire for blood brings him naught but empty immortality and despair. His helpless efforts to slake his thirst lead him to the Song family's cane field, where his love for a doomed girl teaches him to live in tranquility despite inner turmoil.
Foreword
The two hundredth time Sehun killed someone was at the St. Valentine Annual Spring Blood Drive. He hadn’t meant to, which was a progressive step toward normal morality for him. He supposed he’d never really meant to kill anyone. And the janitor at St. Val’s – he convinced himself – was going to be the last. Although, that was exactly what he said to himself about the 199th person, too.
Author's Commentary: Still on hiatus. But I had this written out already and it was Valentine's Day themed, so I figured I'd upload it as a Valentine's Day Special. Partially inspired by Anne Rice's vampire novels and a short story by Karen Russell entitled Vampires in the Lemon Grove. And as usual, I disclaimer ownership of Sehun.
I was super unsure of this just because vampire!au's are some of my least favorite fics, especially post-Twilight. But I love Anne Rice vampires and the short story by Karen Russell was inspiring, and I've had a thing for Sehun for a long time. I hope you enjoy it! Please leave comments <3
Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!
