Description
Haneul Lee, a California girl in the states for about 9 years, lives in a rough world. Throughout her rough childhood, she's never trusted anyone but her cousin Uee. Uee? Yes, Uee from After School. Although Uee doesn't know about Haneul's secrets, Haneul can't help but want to trust her. Then one day, she gets a letter from Uee, asking her, well more like giving her no choice, to come back to Seoul and live with her. Even though going back would bring her past memories, being the kind of person she is, Haneul decided to go to Seoul, Korea to live with her cousin--which means living with After School and meeting the biggest people in the k-pop industry.
Eun Mi Song is a small town girl living in big town New York City. Though her positive-yet-quiet personality might give you a different thought, Eun Mi doesn't feel loved. Her step mom doesn't appreciate her, her friends take her for granted, and the people she trusts and loves are in Seoul, Korea. Having enough of mistreatment, she goes to Seoul to meet her loving cousin, Taemin. Little does she know, after years of being away from him, Taemin has debuted into a big k-pop group, SHINee.
On their adventure to Seoul to find their hearts, the girls end up meeting each other and befriending one another. With their new friends (the famous people ;] ) and their musical talents, the girls spread the word about their story.

Haneul’s POV
I sighed and simply followed Yoo Jin and the other girls past a security guard. I listened as they sang a few songs. Singing along wasn’t my thing, but I couldn’t help but join in with a tiny voice. Yoo Jin noticed and smiled softly.
“Girls! There you are!” a man who had a headset and a clipboard glued to himself. His eyes were on the clipboard the whole time, making me wonder how in the world he knew After School arrived.
“I need you girls to go to the dressing room and get ready—” he stopped talking to look up and noticed me. “Who are you?”
“I’m Yoo Jin unnie’s cousin.” I muttered.
Yoo Jin glared at me. “I told you not to call me Yoo Jin! It’s so…ugh just call me Yoo Yi!” she complained, throwing her arms in the air.
Nana laughed, “Yah, it’s still the same thing, only it’s Yi instead of Jin!”
Yoo Jin groaned.
“Anyways,” the man with the clipboard and headset coughed. “I’m afraid you won’t be allowed in the dressing room, even if you’re a relative. We’re tight on security today.”
Yoo Jin yelped, “BUT I’M SUPPOSED TO WATCH AFTER HER!”
“She’ll stay backstage.” The man assured. “Right?”
I nodded reassuringly, “And I’ve got my cell phone.”
Yoo Jin nodded uncertainly and waved good bye. I waved back and began wondering around, dodging other men and women with clipboards and headsets. Offended, I was glared at. I sighed and slumped down in the nearest chair next to another girl.
Eun Mi’s POV
Taemin shoved me out the car door. How’s that for Korea’s sweet ball of hyper?
“Yah!” I screeched as I tripped her my sneakers. “What was that for?”
“I dunno.” Taemin smiled sweetly. I rolled my eyes. Aish, this kid. Why is he older, but always acting like a child? Yet again, that was one of the things I have in common with him, although I can be much more mature than him.
“Let’s go before the fan girls see us!” Key ushered us backstage.
“Yah!” I heard someone call. “SHINee! You guys are after After School! Go to the dressing room and get ready.” I find it amusing how the dude can tell he’s talking to SHINee when his eyes are glued to his clipboard. He glanced up.
“Who are you?” he asked rudely.
“She’s my cousin!” Taemin piped up with a cute smile.
The man rolled his eyes. “Another one? Well, you’re most definitely not allowed in the dressing rooms. Stay backstage. And keep a cell phone on you.” He ushered SHINee away, leaving me speechless.
Another one? What was that supposed to mean?
I scowled and sat in the nearest chair.
A few minutes later, I heard someone sigh and sit in the chair next to me. I glanced and saw a girl about my age, maybe older, glaring at the man from earlier.
“Annyeong,” I said politely. “I’m Eun Mi.”
She stared at me for a few seconds before turning away.
Great.
I barely spot a few words to her and she hates me already. I hate having people hate me. I heard a deep sigh and a few muffled words.
I turned to her, “Uhm, sorry? I didn’t catch.”
She girl rolled her eyes and said louder, “I’m Haneul.”
I nodded in acknowledgment, about to say something else, but shouting filled the air.
“YAH! TAEMIN! GET BACK HERE! WE’RE GOING UP SOON!” I heard Key’s voice shout.
And then Taemin tackled me.
I shrieked and shoved him off me, “YAH! CAN YOU PLEASE BE SANE FOR ONCE?”
Taemin gave me his puppy eyes, “Aww dongsaeng, I was just worried about you.”
I scoffed and shoved his face away. “I don’t need you to worry. I can take care of myself.”
“Says the girl who almost got mugged.” Taemin stuck his tongue out. He then turned to Haneul and said, “Haneul, Yoo Yi is worried already. Text her now before she goes to perform.”
Haneul nodded.
“Wait…” I said. “You guys know each other?”
“Yeah,” Haneul muttered. “I’m Yoo Jin’s cousin.”
I laughed. “How funny. I’m Taemin’s cousin.”
Haneul smiled for the first time since we meant and let out a small laugh. “Okay, that’s just crazy, but nice to meet you Eun Mi, Taemin’s cousin.”
